The EFFIN-A Compensator

ARES Armor is moving beyond just nylon with the forthcoming EFFIN-A Compensator. I have to say, I’m intrigued. Ares claims that, to the best of their knowledge, it “will be the first stackable and tunable compensator on the market. All gas exit ports can be sealed off and the front cap can be removed to reveal a standard threaded front.”

I’m interested. For the right price that is. Would love to see how well it works. Not sure about the ability to switch to a threaded configuration. Shooters may find a need for it, but I’m betting the main body will come loose during shooting if loctite isn’t used. If loctite is used then the ability would be gone. Who knows, just my thoughts. I’m wondering how those inserts stay in too.

By the way, I’m not sure this is the first tunable comp. I would say the Spikes Tactical S.T.A.B. is tunable as well, and its been around for awhile.

It is the first tunable AND stackable comp. This leaves all sorts of creative options for shooters.

As far as price point goes we are shooting for 99.95

$99.95 sounds good to me. Now that I’ve had time to think about this thing, I’m kinda getting excited. The ability to tailor the comp to your shooting style and mission is gonna be real fun. I’m assuming 1/2×28 threads in 5.56 is gonna be the first available?
