Battle of the Bulge pictures from 67 years ago

Life Magazine has released some new pictures celebrating the anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge. They are, in a word, amazing.

New, previously unseen Battle of the Bulge pictures from Life Magazine

You should check them out. 67 years ago some our fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers and countless other family members of both genders were fighting in one of the most critical battles of the war, in some of the bitterest cold of the war.

  2. Celebrating The Battle of the Bulge..!!!

Did a tour of the “Bulge” area this autumn and totally appreciate, if that’s the right phrase, why the Ardenne was chosen for Wacht am Rheim. The rolling terrain lends itself to fast moving offensives.

To put a touch of reality into what this means. It’s impossible to drive more than 3 miles on some roads without seeing a war grave. Maybe some of our politicians should make the same journey before committing our armed forces???
