Off the Grid Concepts – Custom Kydex

Off the Grid Concepts, another fine purveyor of custom kydex mag pouches and holsters, has a new “dual mounting option” mag pouch that carries one rifle magazine and one pistol magazine. Check them out on Facebook or at their website to see some of their kit or see what they come up with when they come up with it. One of their mottos is, “If you own it we can holster it.” Their website says they make apparel and outdoor gear, but apparently it’s not up yet.

Comon lets be serious. Everyone knows this is an exact ripoff of a Raven and is probably half the quality.

    Makes me sick

I don’t see anything on Raven’s site that is similar to their dual magazine pouch. Raven also wasn’t the first to make kydex holsters so I don’t think it’s fair to say it’s an exact ripoff. I hope you’ve stocked up on Pepto since there are so many holsters out there similar to RCS offerings.

Very nice concept! Keep up the good work!

The quality looks good. I’ve been wanting a kydex holster along the lines of Raven. I just can’t come to grips with the retail pricing they charge. Will these line of holsters be reasonably priced?

Hey Josh, you should order a holster or some mag carriers from Off The Grid before knocking them.

I am running a Streamlight TLR-2s on my M&P9… With that setup I had to get a custom holster and I would have loved an RCS holster, but their turnaround time is crazy. I had my holster, double 9mm mag carrier, and two PMag carriers made for me in a week and have been running them for a couple months now. Everything works really well for me and I couldn’t be more pleased with the build quality. They even worked with me to create the right amount of retention on the holster and created a cutaway on the top of the holster that would be comfortable for the size of my hand.

Like I said, I would have loved an RCS holster… it was mainly their turnaround time that made me look elsewhere. It just so happens that OTG makes an awesome product too.

  6. Josh can you tell me the kydex thickness of both Raven and OTG? Or the hardware that went into either of their constructions? When you get the specs you will see a very large difference. Just because they are both kydex holster companies does not make them the same. Raven did not invent the kydex holster. That’s like saying all beers are the same…
    P.S Budwiser sucks

Anyone know pricing? Is the only way to order by phone?
