Now the Airlite concept does look similar to the Asgaard system as discussed in the First Spear comments. Between Crye, Blue Force Gear, First Spear and Asgaard pals/molle us going to be changing for the lighter.

The Airlite system also looks to be made of the same material that’s in the clavicle area of the shoulder straps on the JPC. That’s the one part of the JPC that guys complain about failing all over the place.

    • SSD says:

It’s not, it’s made from Airlite

      • Al says:

Airlite as in the Airlite cummerbund material found on the JPC? Thanks SSD for the post… Crye is definitely the company setting the bar higher.

      • mike says:

So the airlite laminate is different from that tan material on the JPC? Any impressions after seeing it? Thicker? Stronger?

  4. Dev says:

    DAT SMOCK.

Jesus, that smock. *froths at mouth*

  5. mike says:

The smock is froth-worthy, but I’m a traditionalist and would like to pay Crye prices for this piece in Woodland.

  6. Derek says:

Smock looks good and I’d like to see more of the compact assault ghillie.

  7. Ycare says:

The Adaptive Vest System really looks like a compromise between the JPC and the CPC, and seems, as it says, quite adaptable seeing the two different versions displayed.
Interesting to see how Crye seems to be going further away from heavy platforms which include both hard and soft armor, like their Chassis.

I’m also curious about that compact ghillie, and mostly how effective this could really be… what advantage could it bring over a Viper Hood from TC for example.

  8. jay p says:

Some savage stole the combat assault ghillie from the display on final day. Unbelievable. Caleb and Crye deserve better.

  9. Corinthian says:

Recce Smock was really nice , Classic BRIT style wiith Crye innovation, fabric really sweet like old ventile ,
Nanosphere 4 Way stretch also makes a good smock

  10. Kol E. says:

I love that Adaptive Vest system! i wonder how much it will retail for and when they plan on releasing it…

  11. AdamG says:

really interested in that new two-belt system.

  12. Chris says:

The failures on the shoulder area of the JPC aren’t normally because of the “tan” material, it’s usually due to switching right between tan material and front plate panel. The tan material is high abrasion resistant neoprene Kevlar. This material is the strongest fabric on the entire carrier, hence the Kevlar.
