Coming Soon to an Action Flick Near You

At first I thought this was a joke. It isn’t. I guess we can all take off our hats to “engineering.”

Making its debut at IWA, the Arsenal Firearms AF2011-A1 (“Twenty Eleven” for aficionados) is a double barreled (and actioned) version of the 1911. It can be ordered either with 2 independent triggers and one sear group (left or right, with user-interchangeability for right or left operations) or with 2 triggers permanently joined and the choice of 1 or 2 sear groups.

The AF2011-A1 is available in mirror finish Deep Blue (aka pimp) or with a 3400 Vickers surface hardness White Ash Nitrite coating.

That goes in the “I just need one!” category. Maybe I could shoot it in IDPA? Might be fun to try.

  2. Casey says:

They can spend precious resources on this abortion, but nobody will produce a modern Lemat?

    • BloodySamFlint says:

EXACTLY! It seems like you could fit 15 rds of 9mm and a couple 20 ga buckshot into a frame and use a lot less steel than this thing does. This is the very definition of f#ckery.

  3. toby says:

“I got yer double tap right here!”

The perfect under-the-counter convenience store defense weapon.

  4. Kevin V. says:

I will take three of them; one for each of my testicals. O_o

Seriously, I’ll take three of them.

  5. ANDREW says:

Its like one of those goats thats born with two heads.

  6. John M. Denny says:

I doubt the ATF will allow importation. They never like fun stuff.

  7. Will says:

I’d like to see if he hit what he was aming at and how far away the target was.

  8. Raptor says:

Beyond gay. I have no doubt Nicholas Cage’s people are talking to them right now…

  9. TM says:

Is this a Class 3 gun?

    • John M. Denny says:

That’s what I’m wondering, because even with two triggers, it doesn’t appear that the barrels can be fired independently. Need more info…

Also, why did they use a Bond villian kinda guy?

  10. Deadeye says:

Pardon the pun, but I have two thoughts about this. First, why? Second, nifty piece of engineering. That said, anyone see the Green Hornet movie? Kinda reminds me of the gun Chudnofsky had. (minus the split in half feature)

  11. Rob says:

Since when did John C. McGinley start making firearms?

  12. mpower6428 says:

appealling to the baser instincts of bad-ass-ery, definitly the second kind of cool and… you gotta love the russians.

  13. Buckaroomedic says:

I picked that thing up in their booth at IWA. I could barely get my hand around it, definitely a two handed pistol. The double magazine brings a whole new meaning to “double stack”.

    So . . . it’s a .90 calibre, right?

  14. straps says:

I’m seeing an upcoming “Sons of Guns” episode where the Sheriff comes in and wants the same thing done to with Glocks (or maybe M&Ps). After failing spectacularly in the engineering and fabrication they rig up some sort of c-spine halo looking thing with 2 Glocks (or 2 M&P’s, or 1 Glock and 1 M&P–best of both worlds, amiright?) out of rod stock and pronounce the whole exercise a success…

  15. Warfighter says:

Reminds me of a joke circulating in sniper circles:

    “What is firepower?”
“The number of misses per minute you can generate.”
