IWI Negev-7 Features Semi-Auto Fire

The new Negev NG-7 from Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) is a 7.62mm big brother to the popular Negev-5 5.56mm SAW and shares almost 80% of its components with its smaller brother. The NG stands for next generation so, in addition to the larger caliber, it also features semiautomatic fire. In automatic mode, its rate of fire is over 700 rounds per minute.

Interested parties can see the NG-7 at DefExpo India 2012 (New Delhi, March 29-April 1) , Israel Pavilion, Stand 11.10-L and FIDAE International Air & Space Fair (Santiago, Chile, March 27-April 1) Israel Pavilion, Hall D, Stand 1a.

Curious to know if this fires from a closed or open bolt when is Semi-Auto. Overall looks like a damn fine LMG.

Look at that Mako GLSCHOCKCP stock. Wonder if the recoil-reduction is even a consideration on something like this heh.
