I was lucky enough to be part of the evaluation group for these, and they are, in fact, the best work pants I own. I’ve worn 5-11s, and LAPGs (very comfortable like worn jeans, but I don’t care for the pocket config) and these seem to combine the best of everything. The dedicated knife pockets out of the way are the best, Jerry. The best.

Those look pretty nice and the price isn’t half bad either, I might have to pick up a pair to supplement the Blackhawks I have. Does anyone know what they’re made of? Judging by the pics on the EO site they look like riptstop of some sort, does that mean they’re on the lighter weight side because I could use a lighter weight pair of pants for hiking and camping in the summer.

65% – 35% Poly – Cotton ripstop material here in mine. They do shorts too in the same pocket layouts so if you always have a set EDC that you work with you wouldn’t have to resort everything as you know where everything is when switching back and forth between the pants and shorts.

      Best wishes,

The material is actually the only sort-of con I can think of with these. Comfortable, just not as comfortable as a blend with more cotton. There’s a ‘swish’ sound as you walk, but over a year of washings has suppressed that a little. Of all my pants that became coated with demolition range muck, these are the only brand that have ever washed clean, so the Teflon impregnation is definitely working.

They are in fact lightweight 6.5oz Teflon coated poly/cotton rip-stop.

I have a some of these and I love them, great pants for the price and so far they are holding up to everything I throw at em.
