Crye Precision MagClip Installation

Unveiled at SHOT Show 2011, the Crye Precision MagClip™ attaches to most M16-style magazines and allows you to clip your magazine directly to a belt or into the channels of PALS webbing . It was initially envisioned for issue M16 magazines but it does fit other mags such as the Magpul PMAG seen here. You just have to remove the entire adjustment bolt and then slide it on. You may see a slight gap once it’s tightened back up but don’t worry. It’s fine.

Available soon from cryeprecision.com.

I have a set of these that I’ve been playing with. I found that the inside diameter is a bit too small. When I slide the clip to the floor plate of the mag the gap that is created is to great for the screw to overcome. I ended up stripping the reciever nut. I took a dremel tool and carved out a few notches on the inside of the clip and it worked out perfect. I had to do this when fitting the clip to Magpul mags and USGI mags. I think its a great product, its simple and opens up a lot of opportunities to carry extra mags.

I didn’t have any problem installing mine so long as I removed the bolt completely.

How do I get some of these? I have seen them advertised on sites like this for some time, but they are not available from the common sources and are not listed on Crye’s website. Please help! I really want a handful of these!!!! Thanks!
