The upcoming NBC reality show ‘Stars Earn Stripes’ pairs 8 stars with trainers from military and LE backgrounds. Each episode will be a separate mission and the participants will be outfitted with some excellent tactical brands. Umm…(thinking hard about professional response): Fuck that. Stars, being people that seek limelight, are paid to be pretty. Warfighters, either win wars, or go Hollywood. They don’t mix well. And frankly, I’ve got a bad taste in my mouth about the whole topic. This isn’t a game, this isn’t TV, or “Survivor”. A shit load of this generation’s finest are dead. The country has been at war for a decade. That’s cause for a game show?
As long as everyone realizes its entertainment what’s the big deal? Besides it gives retired/current Soldiers/LEO’s jobs. If it doesn’t violate Opsec or anything else sensitive who cares. With all the hate soldiers/LEO’s get from this the Obama loving press and entertainment industry about time those of us who serve get some positive coverage!
Keep in mind that the missions they successfully accomplish win money for veteran charities.

It looks to me their armor is ballistic insert free. For some of the ‘running and gunning’ Put in the inserts and plates/combat load and see how it really feels.
