MICROSLICK AR15 BOLTCOMPLETE

Bolt Carrier Groups are currently hard to come by but US Tactical Supply let us know that they are offering a complete AR15 Bolt Carrier Assembly with Microslick Coating. These are in-stock and incorporate Microslick coating which is a dry film lubricant originally designed for use on the internal parts of automotive motors, such as piston heads.

A finish alone, no matter how slick and “advanced”, does not make for a quality bolt carrier group. I can’t stand companies that peddle so-called “improved” products based simply on some new paint job or coating.

However, there must be enough idiots out there who jump at the chance to buy one given how frequently these “improved” products seem to appear in the marketplace.

What I want to know, and what potential customers should really ask themselves, is whether there is a mil-spec BCG underneath the coating? Who manufactured it? What kind of steel was used in its construction? What about the extractor? Was it MP tested? Is it staked?

The BCG is perhaps the most critical part of an AR rifle. You better be damn certain you know what you’re buying besides just a high tech finish.

$296 for a f*****g BCG is dumber than James Yeager

  3. Jon says:

Is it an M16 carrier or an AR15 carrier?

In defense of US Tactical Supply, I have purchased one of these bolts and it has already arrived at my house. 1 in the hand is better than 2 in the bush (or on gunbroker)
