Here’s a review on the FG version:

    • Just in answer as to why this belt does not feature hook and loop/Velcro:
The belt was the idea of a serving member of UKSF. He just wanted a stright forward belt, no whistles or bells, just a belt to keep his trousers up.

Hook and Loop/Velcro would add to the weight and its just something else to add to the belt, something else to go wrong. So, we did not add it. Just tuck in the loose end if you feel it is a problem 🙂

As stated in the video, it falls if its just tucked in.
        But great belt anyway 🙂

Looks like a waste if a cobra buckle to me. You’d be better off, in my opinion, using a heavy duty 1″ side release buckle. It would be more cost effective and lower profile.

I have one of these belts in black. The buckles are first rate and the belt is well made. The fabric however is far too thin and flimsy and it becomes loose over time because it slides through the adjustable portion of the buckle as you move around.

Nice idea, but the fabric (it’s not ballistic nylon / canvas) needs to be thicker. A piece if Velcro on the adjustable portion would also be a good idea to prevent it running through the buckle and / or flapping about.

Once upon a time, belt buckles were, well, belt buckles. For 1st line kit, restraint/fall protection or duty rig, having a high-power buckle may make sense.

For a 1 inch pants belt, Cobras are turning into the rodeo buckles of the gun fighting world
