Interestingly enough this coupon would give me 25% off when entered, not 40%. And there is no more “your price”, only the standard price, so actual savings for that I am looking at (6094 Slick) would be just over 10%.

Ya, I just noticed the same thing when trying to order a sling. It took $15 off instead of $24… I wonder why they’re misrepresenting their own promotion. :/

  2. Bartek says:

Coupon code “LDAY-2013” is not valid. WTF?!

    • SSD says:

It sounds like you need to be a fully registered LBT customer to take advantage of this offer.

No, they screwed up. I called, they are bummed.

They wont hear the end of it.

There was a problem during the initial hours of sale, when we were all conducting rack ops. It has since been resolved and everything works as it should.

Other than that, I am not sure what “screw up” anyone could be referring to..

This sale initially was intended to be seen from the perspective of “in addition to your current discount”, meaning whatever you got already (15% etc.) would be the base and the coupon would be placed on the “your price” area, which represented the automatic discount we offer our customers.

There was a misunderstanding on this across the board – we’ve since removed the automatic discount, which makes everything MSRP. The coupon now takes the 40% off MSRP instead of 20% off the ALREADY discounted price customers saw. Before I made this change the discount was not a true 40% off MSRP anyways, now it is.

This is the most effective way to offer a discount to ALL of our customers at LBT as we not “adding to” an already discounted product that varies by customer group.

If you’d like to send me an email, Hazzmatics, i’d be more than happy to break it down for you and clear up any misunderstandings.

    SO – basically..
    •No more automatic discounts
    •MSRP is the standard price
•Coupon gives 40% off MSRP, with the exception of some items that are already drastically marked down.

If you have any problems shoot customer service or myself an email.

Thanks for coming in and clearing this up Rob!

      • Hazzmatics says:

I didn’t mean any disrespect by it, but you said it your self “There was a misunderstanding on this across the board”. When I called for clarification I was told there was a mistake made and that there was nothing that could be done about it now. The sales person said LBT is getting overloaded with calls regarding this issue, so Its not like I’m the only one.

If your add simply said 40% MSRP and not the entire site, we would not be having this conversation.

From a customers stand point it feels sneaky, I’m sure from your POV its a minor error or misunderstanding as you put it.

Either way thanks for the clarification.

I bought one of their wheeled load out bags (on a previous sale) and it was put together nicely, shipped quickly and does exactly what I bought it for (which is storing gear/easy transporting of it to the range/etc).

A lot of the gear is pricey but it seems validated, in my opinion, by the quality. You get what you pay for and in the case of the large wheeled load out bag I certainly got the quality that I paid for (well it was one sale and I think I feel I got a good deal).
