Nice, but I guess no quick removal/mounting of that cover if the shroud screws on top of it.

    • SSD says:

I’m kind of curious why you would be taking it on and off all of the time?

      • Ycare says:

That’s a fair answer, maybe wanting to get rid of a cover possibly full of foliage attached to it (as Ops-Core mentions) when changing environment?
I’m really not the person to give the pros and cons of that, but I do wonder why FS & Agilite didn’t do a similar design if removing the cover easily wasn’t part of the idea.
        If anyone has any thoughts?

        • SSD says:

How about just removing the foliage? Ya know, that stuff dries out and has to be changed regularly.

But that brings up a good point. I haven’t seen a Soldier add local vegetation to his helmet since this whole war started. No wonder you didn’t understand the concept.

Awesome… I wonder if there will be a 9 month lead time on these along with everything else they make.

  3. B307 says:

The bolt on over the cover feature comes from the force mod shops, they requested that so that the cover doesn’t blow off the helmet during jump ops, Although I have certainly never experienced that or even heard of it happing before.

I think it looks quite good. UK mil have made guys in afghanistan scrim their helmet to break up shape for a little while now… That half ghillie type look works brilliantly, I’m surprised no one is making quick don ghillie helmet covers yet.
i wish they had gone for multicam velcro etc though, It would look far cleaner for it and suit this high end brand a little better.

Ordered one today and OPS Core says that there is a 4 to 6 week lead time if anyone was wondering.

Helmet covers? What…you can’t rattle can worth a Shite? Just kidding, looks nice.
