Excellent video, thank you for posting. Sometimes re-inventing the wheel is a good thing, sometimes it’s not. If this surprssor lives up to those specs…it sounds like it could be the next big leep forward. Hopefully it pans out.

I always like to see companies that think outside the box.

  2. Balalayka says:

Is this not the same idee russia used since the 80s on their VSS 9×39 rifle?

  3. Toby says:

I can personally speak on the effectiveness of OSS suppressors. I have been to Russ’s shop and have fired their system. It is with out a doubt some of the best suppressors I have ever used. While some may be turned off by the size I can attest that these suppressors are amazing. Russ is a very good man and brings his loyalty to his crew and and his A game to work every day.

Did they provide any estimate on if this BPR 1 increases the muzzle velocity?

Very impressive design. I’d like to know if there is any kind of a locking mechanism. The video makes it look like those components just thread together. They’re also adamant that the muzzle device is not a suppressor component. I’d like to see BATFE confirmation of that. It looks like the muzzle device is an integral part of suppressor function which would make it a regulated item.

Would a good way of describing this operating system be It’s like going down a slide verses falling down a flight of stairs for the gases?
