    First Spear+SKD=All Kinds of Win

I could see myself buying one of those PCs just to harvest some Tubes fittings…

  2. Chris K. says:

You can get a retro-fit cummerbund with tubes system for just about any plate carrier right now. See First Spear’s website.

    • straps says:

Yeah I have that ‘bund. I need one more…

For the shoulders you have to buy a set of shoulder straps (cheap) and a front plate assembly (not cheap, especially since you’re throwing away gear) to get a set of 2″ Shoulder Tubes.

From the small pic shown, looks like I can buy one of these, harvest the Tubes and re-stitch the carrier for resale, trade or maybe even reuse.

      • Chris K. says:

I may have some extra shoulder and side tubes (male and female parts). If you are interested Let me know.

Looks like a more affordable Strandhogg. If this is priced on par with the JPC maybe my customers will finally recognize the superior design for what it is.

    • B says:

I have one of each and the jpc is not even in the same ballpark as the strandhogg.

      • Mike says:

I too have one of each and agree entirely. My point is that people automatically go for the JPC because their teammates have it and it says Crye. I show the technically superior Strandhogg to people and they are mildly into it, admitting the many superior points, until I get to price at which point they balk and go back the the JPC. Or waiting for the JPC.

    I’ll keep my PIG.

First spear has a boor build quality

  6. Luke says:

exciting times to be alive, this stuff gets better every day.

I’m still up in the air about tubes but I’m in love with everything else about this. having molle options without all the webbing makes me warm and fuzzy.
