Looks Dangerous To Me

I am by no means a gunfighter but I can certainly recognize when something is dangerous on a range, and this looks dangerous. What do you think?

The video is a production of American Defense Enterprises, a small training company located in the Los Angeles area. Here’s a trailer they produced to pitch a reality series. Entitled, “The Professionals” by their own admission, they “do dangerous things.”

I hope these guys stick to researching science and wrestling oily Turks, because they wouldn’t last long doing what they profess to be good at on the planet Earth.

Apparently teaching a good grip is not on the syllabus.

  9. Joe says:

Lots of women being snookered out of their money

  10. jbgleason says:

Unfortunately, these asshats will probably get a show on TV and further poison the publics perception while simultaneously giving ammunition to the anti-gunners. Like Red Jacket Firearms, them having any actual knowledge of what they are doing has nothing to do with them declaring themselves “professionals” and getting on TV. They have no shame.

    • Stefan S. says:

100% spot on! Red Jacket, Combat Pawn and the boobs in those videos. What does it take to be a tactical instructor these days? Cracker Jack prize?

  11. diluted says:

    Much tactical So operator

  12. OMAR says:

looks like a 1980’s cop thrilla

  13. Mike P says:

    Thanks for the laugh!

  14. That Blue Falcon says:

Freaking clownshoes, pure and simple. They are trying way too hard to look like 1980s movie heroes and haven’t spent nearly enough time on the fundamentals. They used to have a video up (not sure if it is still) profiling their instructors. One of them basically said “well, I have no firearms experience, but this looked fun, so I took some classes and now I’m an instructor!”

Fools and their money are soon separated.

  15. JohnC says:

    What, no tactical blind-fire?

    Okay, I had to google:
“I have taken many firearms training sessions from American Defense Enterprises. You guys must be all wimps! ADE is amazing. Bill Beasley is a former Special Forces Operator. He is the REAL DEAL.”

HAHA. This video has been around for years now and i never fail to get a kick out of watching it. It like a bunch of idiots re-enacting their favorite comic book shootout scenes.

  17. maresdesign says:

Looks like they’d be great paint-ball players.

  18. a u says:

    WTH did I just watch?

  19. Dave Romine says:

Wow! If I had to evaluate this company by just using this footage I would highly recommend to stay away from these people. They DO NOT possess anything I wish to learn. These JACKASSES con people into thinking they could help them, when in fact they are giving them a false sense of security. Just one more thing, if you are going to take the time to move to cover please use it. This is demonstrated how not to move to cover.

  20. Jeff says:

not dangerous. the observed the shaka rule and fist rule though out the whole engagement. Obviously this is something that was practiced a lot… dry runs, dry runs, dry runs.

  21. Halon330 says:

Meh. Nothing outright Oh My God I can’t believe they did that. I have completed live fire bounding drills individually and squad based. What caught my attention in the video is the complete absence of any rhyme or reason in the paths and bounds they make. Not very efficient and a bit all over the place. They need some professional help on how Buddy Set/Buddy Moving works!

  22. Justin says:

The derp is strong with these.

  23. Dave Romine says:

I beg any and all blogs or publications to please stop the madness. When you bring these Dickbumps to the surface, you are not doing anybody a public service. You are just bringing more popularity to some thing that is wrong. Please just ingnore Bullshito like this and point the general public to a good source of training. Thank You for your time.

  24. Joeyhalo10 says:

Mr. Beasley, what you’ve just said… is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having to watch it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul…

  25. Case says:

    Dat music tho

  26. ghost930 says:

Hey, they get points for actually teaching shooting and moving, something even most Police Departments either don’t do, or don’t allow on the range. And, it didn’t look like anyone swept their partner with a muzzle while moving. Not the best buddy/team movement by any means, but I have seen a whole lot worse taught by people with a “good” reputation in the business. Bottom line, I don’t know these folks, neither do most of you. Stupid to make assumptions based on a single video.

    • Haji says:

Its a video for public consumption, to promote the company. If this isn’t their very best, they’re incredibly stupid for promoting with footage that’s less than their best. If this is their best, and I think it is, assumptions can be drawn, and fairly.

    • seans says:

I am a RSO who is qualified for pretty much any live fire range, from CQB to IADS, this was insanely bad. If I ran something like this I would get my certs pulled and probably demoted. A guy was firing behind his buddy while moving and didn’t even come close to having a safe lateral dispersion. Just not sweeping your buddies isn’t enough for something like this. People see videos of SOF guys doing a live run (which half the time now you are using sim or serta) and don’t realize who much oversight goes into it. RSO’s making sure that shoot targets are in a way that if deconfliction goes bad, somebody won’t be hit, watching shooters to make sure they have SA, ect ect. These guys are clowns pure and simple.

  27. Uber777 says:

    Mahahah.
    Its a joke right? a
nd they are all actors right?

    HAHA

  28. Chicken Legs says:

Lots of comments here… Thinking new marketing plan, my muse would be CHIP’s/Starsky & Hutch/Night Rider, and American Defense Enterprises! Love it!

  29. tictac says:

Imagine a world without people like Pat Mcnamara and the countless others who teach people the right way to shoot. Makes me cringe as I type the thought.

  30. ZuluSix says:

REALLY? Is EVERY gun battle the Battle of Bakara market? Is EVERY PSD response drill the Control Risks Ambush on Canal road (or Route Irish if they are assclowns like Yeager)? Is every serpentine drill a reenactment of the Freakin’ Jolan district in Fallujah? Jeez there must be some engagements where the enemy is not surrounding you and you need to wade through blazing away like the Avenging Scythe O’ Freedum … Christ, I’m just sayin.’

  31. Erik says:

Granted my world is pretty low speed/high drag, but that little room clearing thing at the end of “the professionals” was atrocious! Dig corners much? Standing square in the doorway?

These “operators” need to stick with Milton Bradley products!

  32. SGT Rock says:

Wow. This was completely FUBAR on so many different levels.

  33. Eric B says:

Hahahahaha. That was great for a laugh. Oh wait, was this serious? Nah. Really?

    That is nothing.

    You are all welcome.

    • Explosive Hazard says:

The shooting drill at 0:55 actually looked pretty good, until they added the other two jaguloons shooting within a couple feet of her as she advanced on the next targets. Cripes that’s dangerous. Its like watching the Russian’s and some of their drills. Unnecessary.

    • JohnC says:

Benny Hill music makes any movie better.
For example, try it with the opening sequence in “Gravity”

  37. Fiveohfl says:

Wow, excellent video for the prosecution when the lady kills her “stalker” ex. “Mrs. Jones, in the video we just showed the jury, did you in fact say that you were going to “take him down”, referencing the victim in this case.”
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for self-defense, just don’t say dumb s#!t like that, much less put it in some hack’s promotional video.
    “The Professionals” my ass!

  38. Bill says:

    Seen worse, seen way better.

It’s a weird business that has boomed, pardon the pun, since 9/11. Prior to that, it was just a handful like Cooper and Taylor. But with drawdowns, decreasing crime rates, increases in gun ownership, and the tsunami of “tactical” crap, I wonder if we’ve brought some of it our selfs. If there’s money to be made, someone will make it, and this boom won’t last forever.

  39. DI says:

Would have been so much better if the female instructor had a cool mustache like the rest of “The Professionals”!

  40. NOLA says:

Don’t forget tits-maghee here. She is one of their lead clowns.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSzQmImpQMI

In another of her videos she fucks up the draw and instead of finishing the drill and sending the proper rounds on target, she stands there laughing at herself and how she fucked up…Perfect combat mindset.

And trust me, people pay for this, and they have no shortage of village idiots wanting to learn this from them ! (And James Yeager)

  41. Patrick says:

so happy the victoria’s secret models have the same training from this guy that he supposedly gave to the various list of people who wouldn’t give him the time of day.

  42. Zach says:

Kinda makes you wonder how many other so called “tactical” training programs are out there that will actually end up getting someone hurt or killed because they really have no clue what they’re doing, it just looks cool. It’s why I like shooting at my own house with my own target and setup, cause if something’s gonna get f-ed up, at least it’ll only have been me getting hurt by my own hand lol. Seriously though, too many asks clowns taking advantage of people’s fears and putting their lives in jeapordy.

  43. andrew says:

Here’s the ADE chick instructor aka “tits mcgee”.

  44. concerned says:

these “operators” use the LAX gun range in los angeles for “indoor” operations. i have seen them decked out in the 5.11 blacks walking around the range. they have gone “full retard”.

  45. Dave says:

I actually attended one of their classes, paid by an employer who didn’t know better. They can shoot, and that’s about it.

    And MAJOR Glock fanboys.

  46. Jesus Built My Hotrod says:

I’m not defending these cats here, but we use to do live fire excercises in the Army just like in the first dual operators video. Hell it we did in Basic Training.

    • SSD says:

You didn’t do what they did. If you had, the guys running your training should be beat with steel pots.
