Well the one that’s wearing glow in the dark “camo” is the US. It awesome being the most advanced military but looking the most ridiculous.

    • cy says:

Notice how the third guy from the left is looking at that UCP camo and thinking “What the F is he wearing. This is a Joke, right?”

  2. Sean says:

One of these patterns is not like the others…

  3. Dan says:

    Croatia, US, Poland 😉

  4. SteveW says:

I see G36s on the 1st and 3rd from the left, and some matching uniform details. So, Germany? Or maybe Mexico?

  5. Philip says:

Well doesn’t this make UCP look even worse…

  6. GW says:

    Sigh……..

  7. Airborne_fister says:

I think the uniform doesn’t give it away. It’s the full color flag. J/k

  8. Mike Nomad says:

Tactical Cousin It aside, the second from the left definitely looks a little dodgy. That said, which of the five setups shown has spent the last decade getting dropped into arid/desert terrain?

    • Mike Nomad says:

Sorry, should read, “is the result of getting dropped into an arid/desert terrain for the last decade?”

  9. Brc says:

I’m gonna guess the two in woodlandish gear are German the ucp is sadly american, the ghille i think is British and the guy in multicam? at the end i have no idea.

  10. Jake says:

    Airsoft?

  11. L.Washing says:

honestly i thought the first one was solvenian…the rest was easy(except the ghillie)

i will be a bumper here:

Special Operations Forces operators representing Croatia (first and third from left), the U.S. (second from left) and Poland (first and second from right), wear a variety of gear on Sept. 20 at Drawksow Pomorskie, Poland during a press conference as part of the official start of the Jackal Stone 10 exercise. Jackal Stone 10, hosted by Poland and Lithuania this year, is an annual international special operations forces (SOF) exercise held in Europe. Its objective is to enhance capabilities and interoperability amongst the participating special operations forces and as well as build mutual respect while sharing doctrinal concepts. The exercise, which is coordinated with U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, includes countries from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Croatia, Romania, and Ukraine participating in the exercise. If you are going to have guys do a photo op, at least give them better gear. I mean every time I saw SF in the Stan they had mk18 mod1s and glocks with half shells. Nobody looks cool in mich.

    • straps says:

The good schtuff is down range or in the hands of folks spinning up.

In Europe these exercises are fairly high visibility so they play some of the Big Army games like uniformity and type-classified unit set equipment and such.

There’s probably a dude who came from from Regiment stage-managing the dog & pony shows, which usually “star” newly-tabbed. newly-assigned.

Russia is a good example of why you don’t share too much with (this week’s) new ally. Let them finger f*ck SOPMOD M4s and M9s all they want, and form whatever impression they choose to about our hardware.

At the end of the day, it’s about SOFtware.

      But yeah, UCP.

  13. BS says:

    Remember, it’s 2010 photo 😉

  14. Haji says:

None of them are SF; they’re all airsofters.

  15. DA says:

    What SF?

  16. Airborne_fister says:

Question. Why do the first and third guy have the spear head and no airborne tab on their shoulders? I think this has gotta be a bunch of airsofters or a few kids wanting to be big bad army.

  17. Gunny333 says:

I’m with the last few commentors I think they’re airsofters as well. The no airborne tab really threw me, but if they aren’t SF then they have a lot of money to blow on either real or very realistic looking hardware.

  18. Red says:

Germany, US, and Poland. That paddle mount on his holster is a little sad, though.
