SureFire Introduces Two New 600-Lumen Fury Scout Light LED WeaponLights

Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire has expanded its signature Scout Light Series with the new M600P and M620P Fury Scout WeaponLight models. Both models feature SureFire’s newest high-performance LED, which produces 600 lumens and, thanks to a precision reflector, provides a wider beam with increased surround light, as opposed to the more-focused beam created by the TIR lenses found on most SureFire Scout Lights.

The new Fury Scout Light models’ wider beams are optimal for urban environments or up close engagements, where lighting a wider area is preferable. The M600P and M620P come with two included switches— a pushbutton tailcap switch: press for momentary on, press further to click constant-on; and a momentary-on tape switch with a 7-inch cable that attaches to your preferred location via self-stick Velcro® backing.

Compact, lightweight, and rugged, the new Fury Scout Light models are nearly identical to their predecessors. The new models’ bezels are only slightly larger in diameter at—1.37 inches—while their weatherproof Mil-Spec-anodized aluminum bodies measure 5.7 inches in length. The new Fury models produce tactical-level light (over 50 lumens) for 1.5 hours on two 123A lithium batteries. The M600P Fury Scout Light uses an integral thumbscrew clamp to attach to any MIL-STD-1913 rail. The M620P Fury Scout uses SureFire’s self-adjusting Swing-Lever™ clamp, which fits MIL-STD-1913 rails and even rails that are out of spec. Available in Black or Desert Tan.

Amazing technology, keeps getting brighter & brighter.

  2. Canadian says:

Seems quite bright, possibly blinding the user not just the target. Would be nice to see how wide the reflector throws the beam.

The tape switch is nice, but I prefer the dual switches, with both a momentary and constant on in the same switch.

Odd that this is a new product.

I have one that I purchased in 2009 or 2010, which has both a momentary and constant on together ON the tape switch itself. There is a button for constant on, and the same flat portion for constant on as with this switch.

You must be speaking of the SR switch which indeed has been out for sometime and is a great piece of kit. I myself use one on my AR. That said, previously with SF Scout Lights you could only utilize a pressure switch (SR or ST) with a UE tailcap OR just the push button (Z68) which meant if your pressure switch was damaged or failed that there was no alternate way to activate the light. For folks down range this was an issue, and the new dual switch will solve that issue.

Yeah but can you buy just the head?

  4. Weaver says:

I looked for just the head and did not find it – they have a 500 lumen head available for about $290, but not this one yet.

  5. English kanigit says:

Hopefully these stand up better than the normal FURY lights. I’ve already broken solder connections in the heads of TWO different P2X (EAG) FURY lights when they were on my AKs. Surefire has fixed them both (after a bit of prodding on the first one) while reminding me that ‘They aren’t weaponlights’. Well, no joke but you do backhandedly market them as such.

    Re: replacement heads
While technically possible it does not seem to be conducive to their marketing strategy. The unit cost of the head for the M600U is close to $230 if I recall correctly. At that point it’s almost more economical to just buy the whole light which I believe is their purpose.

I am a bit of a Surefire whore and should probably own stock in their company on account all the stuff I’ve bought but at times the company really irks me.
