Thanks for everything you’ve done to keep this nation and her allies free! I’m truly in awe of your dedication and accomplishments.
Many SSD readers are Veterans. I served in the Army and Air Force. What about you?

To uncle sam’s misguided children thank you and happy birthday. To all vets, those serving (reserve and active), and those getting ready to serve (perhaps gone through MEPS and awaiting to ship out), thank you for your personal sacrifices and choices to stay with it.
Son, Grandson (X2), Great Grandson (X2), and Great Great Grandson (X1) to veterans. (Also, two grandfathers (Great, Great, Great, Great?) who served in the Civil War.) Current CPT in the USAR.
Blessings to all of you today and to those who won’t even see this. It’s always a great day to be a veteran, but this one is just a little better!
We had a special Remembrance Day ceremony here today with our US counterparts. It was especially poignant in light of the past few weeks back home and the 100th anniversary of WWI.
We’ve been proudly wearing our poppies around camp and the interest from the US folks has been overwhelming. Always nice to share some history and tradition with our oldest allies.
For all the Vets, we would never be at where we are today without all your service! Each one of our employee’s who is a Vet is off today for good reason while all others here are hard at it supporting this special day.

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
Our base had a wreath-laying event on Sunday, and a Retreat and Remembrance ceremony yesterday with the Coalition personnel assigned here; it was very nicely done.
Many thanks to those who came before us, those serving with us, and those who will serve after us.
Thank you for your service.
