HAHAHAHAHA nothing says protection dog like a cozy cute little sweater vest in a stupid camo!

Pretty cool to see this collaboration posted on Soldier Systems. We at Rdr are very proud of the k9, We have some pretty cool products coming in 2015.

  3. Jeff Wilber says:

@crh lol. Please post a pic of your dog. Preferably with you in the picture.

Wasn’t making fun of the dog there, I was making fun of the stupid sweater on the dog. Knowing what I know about those dogs because I have deployed in combat with them, they’re a very hardy breed and don’t need a gay sweater that is really a feel good measure for the owner since they grow a nice thick winter coat. This is SSD not FB so I don’t need to post pictures of myself if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Here comes another SSD scolding about ass hat comments.

CRH seems to be in a fighting mood, although I have to agree with his explanation. Also, why not in something like a snow/winter pattern?? It is a fuzzy jacket after all.

  7. Dellis says:

The only reason a dog would need a vest or sweater in winter is if the dog is elderly or arthritic. Or is some hairless ugly dog!

I could see if this camo vest had some type of cargo carrying pouches on it. Carry some of the dogs needs, perhaps first aide kit…I put jerky treats in my dogs pack and watch her go nuts trying to get them ๐Ÿ™‚

I mean I guess the vest is cool and will appeal to some owners but for me it should be functional, not just a vest that a dog wears.

  8. Philip says:

So much hate here these days…

Cool idea, but my dogs would tear it off or try to eat it.

  9. DA says:

More negativity than I was even expecting…

I think there are plenty of med/lrg breeds without an undercoat that these would be great for if the owner was into the camo pattern. Not to mention it allows for patches to be adhered to the k9 if its a working dog or in training.

Kryptek isn’t for everybody but camo on any dog not down range is a matter of preference anyway. My pittie would probably love this but she gets enough looks just wearing a pink sweater.

Boxers come to mind, ditto weimaraners or vizlas. So do critters with a skin condition like a friend’s pit bull. Heck, my black lab is getting long enough in the tooth we ended up putting a Christmas sweater on her this last holiday. bottom line is they aren’t just for rat dogs and yuppies

  10. Lance says:

Stylish and I can see a market for it. I will agree they picked the wrong breed of dog for a model as German Shepherds have that double insulation and thick Winter fur. For other breeds that require extra protection in cold weather I can see it being functional.

  11. SC1911 says:

There is something fundamentally wrong and discriminatory about this company and your comments; I donโ€™t see any mention about warmth protection for my oriental short hair, lilac point Siamese (read:cat). Until this wrong is addressed, I’m boycotting Svalinn.
