    AOR mid-tops?

  2. That Blue Falcon says:

I thought UCP was dead. Long live UCP?

  3. straps says:

    It’s a UCP boot.

For SMA Dailey to douse in JP8, then burn on 14 JUN 15.

  4. T.H says:

If that in fact is a Bates boot in UCP that is being brought to market “soon”, I would hate to be on the product development team at Bates. They are going to have some real explaining to do!
But similarly, I was shocked to meet with a material vendor yesterday (from one of the largest domestic material companies in the country) and he had no idea that UCP was being phased out. Which explains why he is the only vendor that currently has Berry Compliant UCP and Foliage Green materials…

    That’s a picture.

  6. elliot says:

Could it be AOR or MARPAT, but the picture is just black and white?

    • straps says:

Pretty sure your AOR guess is right.

Just getting in some UCP jokes while it’s still a thing.

  7. John says:

It’s got no discernable tread pattern and the lace holes aren’t reinforced, so I’m guessing they’re hi-topped sneakers, maybe it’s the only way to get rid of all that nasty digital pattern they have on the shelves

    • Justin M. says:

      +1 on the sneakers

    • straps says:

LoL Timbuk2 and Inside Line Design are doing hipster bags in UCP Cordura they no doubt sourced for a nickel on the dollar.

If Bates is actually using surplus UCP, I hope they aren’t hoping to sell that crap as “weekend wear” to anyone in uniform…

  8. Stefan S. says:

    Looks like Shiite!

  9. Disco says:

As Roger the Alien famously sings ‘Nooo!’

  10. bob says:

    AOR1 OTB boot.

  11. SGT Rock says:

    Hmm… I smell Photoshop.

  12. Strike-Hold says:

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that its an AOR2 Jungle Boot.

  13. Darrel says:

AOR1 boot. Kind of a product for a niche that doesn’t exist, considering most people who are authorized to wear AOR1 are using COTS products

  14. Ghost says:

Those are real boots made by Bates, but they are made for a very specific market and they should already be released or released very shortly.

  15. Crusty says:

Canada definitely had this beat with the all CADPAT trial boot.

With the Army testing Marpat, a Marpat jungle boot would be my guess, but it’ s hard to get the orientation of the pattern from the pics.
