SOFIC 2015 – Petzl Jag System

Petzl’s new Jag System is a prebuilt 4 to 1 mechanical advantage system.  Bothe ends feature double pulleys and one end it has a built-in progress capture or ratchet.  Additionally, the rope is contained in a sock so it won’t tangle.

  1. A good idea with a somewhat limited application because of the short throw. It could be easily ganged on to a primary line but you would have to reset often. And it looks fairly idiot proof for those that don’t know a lot about mechanical advantage or technical rope work.
