Excellent! Limited production? It’s hard enough getting holsters for their “Standard” holsters, which adhere to no standard. Or their 1911’s, for which the specs have existed for 100+ years, buy hey SIG… go ahead and give yours different dimensions.

      • PPGMD says:

It should fit any P224 holster. The only difference is the longer P229 grip which doesn’t touch the holster.

    2. DSR says:

So the bottom line is basically an otherwise standard 229 with a 0.18″ shorter overall length. Am I missing something?

Sweet! More re-packaged 80’s designs! Chicks dig a super big extractor, wonder why it’s not all Sig’s? I can’t hardly wait to have those grips screws fall out (again). As usual thanks for more nothing Sig.

I like my super big extractor. First, it never wears out. Second, it makes a nice deep cut in the brass–deep enough so those Fudd cheapskates can’t use my brass at their reload parties. Third, I KNOW my pistol cycled when the brass tumbles down the side of my head, bounces off my ear pro and down my collar.

I learned the hard way about those grip screws. I suspect they’re in cahoots with Brownells. Blue Loctite on the replacements.

I don;t think I’ll never lose my soft spot for fat 80s all metal pistols, and I haven’t yet found a gun with a trigger I like more than Sig’s…

Cool, but .40 bleh. They did the same thing with the 224, hopefully if they make this in 9MM the customer won’t have to wait as long as they did for that 9MM 224.

    5. Bill says:

So the P229 is a compact P226, and the 224 is a compact 229, or a subcompact P226, so this is a midcompact semifullsize in a compromise cartridge that is larger than small and smaller than large.

Is it available in that chrome treadplate finish?
