There is a lot of cool stuff coming out of Cascade Designs but this beats them all, hands down. The Guardian is not only a self cleaning water filter by using 10% of the filtered d water to comstant,y flush itself. It also meets NSF Protocol P248, used by the U.S. Military which means it will filter out viruses, bacteria and protozoa.
It uses a dual-acting pump head, capable of producing 2.5 liters per minute of potable water with minimal user effort. It is very easy to pump.

Finally!
If the filter has 10K L capacity, why is operational life only 600L / 40 days of 15L per day? Does the filtration start to degrade below a certain standard after 600L?
the 10k L capacity is in clear water, the 600L capacity is in whatever “NSF P248 Standard” classifies as near water enough to purify for drinking but isn’t doing your gear any favors.

Even though they are both made by the same company, this does things the Sweetwater doesn’t. Go research the specs on both.
