Post SHOT Show Wrapup – LBT Inc – Mexico Marine Camo

Here’s a shot of the uniforms being worn by Mexico’s Marine Corps. You may have seen it in the video of the “El Chappo” capture. You’ll notice some classic LBT designs.

Check out the logos embedded throughout the pattern.

Isn’t this pretty much the US4CES camo? It looks good, almost like a subdued AOR2

  2. D.B. says:

NyCo riostop NWU type III AOR2 uniform anyone? 😉

    The resemblance is cunning.

where is Mr. Cramer to come out and say that this camo pattern is superior because Mexico adopted it?

Oh come on…give the guy few minutes to compose himself. He must beside himself reading all this…LOL.

    • Lasse says:

yeah let’s ignore the fact that the camo performed pretty good in the trails and that the US Army is the ones that fucked up on the whole camo project..

I saw it the other day in an El Chapo arrest photo.

What was interesting to me in the El Chapo perp walk photos were that none of the Mex Marines were wearing balaclavas. You never see their federal or judicial police uncovered like that and often the Marines have their faces concealed. I can’t decide if the Mex government was sending a signal to the cartels that the game was changing, or they just picked the least-liked dudes in the unit for the photo op.

I’m not surprised, the whole thing has been wonky from the way he escaped to the way he was re-captured and the time in-between. It appears as if no one really cares anymore and things get done half-halfheartedly. The whole thing is turning into a farce.

I may be wrong, but from what I’m aware El Chapo himself hasn’t been too involved with the actual day to day operations since he was on the run all those years ago. El Mayo is really the head honcho now with regards to the Sinaloa Cartel. The arrest of El Chapo and pending extradition is more to show that no one can break the law with impunity any longer.

Of course when the US of A tried extraditing him before he ran from Altiplano, they walked into all sorts of dead ends. Now that he has been recaptured I think both sides agree that keeping him in Mexico should be an alternative instead of the norm.

From what I understand , and what I have been told is that the Mexican Marina is one of the least corrupted Forces in Mexico. Maybe they just do not care. Another reason could be is they are loving the publicity?
