Blade Show – Special Operations Equipment Goes High Fashion

Every year I see the SOE crew at Blade Show and they are killing it. It’s a show where vendors are allowed to sell product over the counter, directly to the public. By the end of the day, you’ll see SOE gear all over the show.

This year they had a couple of displays that I had to share.

    That’s cool looking gear

  2. Sierra5 says:

I actually wouldn’t mind quality gear that doesn’t scream tactical. That baby blue gear bag looks like it would be standard equipment with every new Tesla Model X.

  3. Unimog says:

Coming soon to a Little Creek pro shop….

  4. The Pig says:

And the real gucciflage comes out.

  5. jkifer says:

OSOE makes some good shit, been using some of his kit since 2003ish when he was in that little hole in the wall in O-Side.

  6. Alex says:

    High fashion? This is awful……

Then again I’ve never been a fan of the loudmouth “let’s roast all my customers” John Willis

    • Jimmy Two Face says:

      Alex,

Willis has many thousands of customers that are loyal and tons of new customers coming in daily. He roasts the ones who can’t follow simple instructions, or read the website before the commit to buying something.

His style is certainly not the “norm” , but it works for him. Their gear is top notch and he wouldn’t be in business today if people didn’t keep coming back for more.

    • John says:

I personally think he makes some damn good kit. He doesn’t roast all his customers, just the ones who can’t be bothered to read, or are unable to act like a civilized human being.

      • John Willis says:

I do like how you post this anonymously. Whats you last name Alex? What did we cancel and refund you for? Post the e-mail chain showing why you are here being a little bitch. It always amazing guys take the time to tell you what they don’t like as though they have some influence. In reality you drive more traffic than the happy customer. There will soon be dozens that show up. You will talk shit to then bad thousands will keep clicking back to see the fight. Eric will get more traffic and I will get more sales. Keep being a simple bitch. It’s just all simple bitches know to do. Hell I bet you found out about this thread from my own facebook page you have subscribed to. Amazing the time and effort you twats spending fixated on shit you don’t like.

John and SOE have nothing but the best. Ordered all of the mystery packages so far and have yet to be let down. Have their rigs, belts, and use the gear every single day. Also have their new BBD bag and have it outfitted with spare mags, RATS tourniquet, multitool, and more!

Order what you want, read the content that is clearly posted several times on the website and checkout pages and you’ll be fine.

          ~Matthew

      • Nick Campbell says:

I’ve been a customer for over two years. Depend on SOE gear daily. Never been roasted.

    • Larry says:

He doesn’t roast his customers. He only calls out bullshit. He got sick of dealing with entitled bitches and he put an end to it and used it to further his business. You don’t like it, don’t buy from him. But it seems like you’re a simple bitch yourself for taking the time to comment here instead of just moving along.

    • Jody Baucom says:

You obviously don’t know John Willis or you were a fired customer for being a dumb ass. He treats his customers and people exceptionally well.

    • aaron hollands says:

Your a dipshit who had nothing better to do than spew your angry little bullshit. Go open carry your 1911 unchambered in the middle of an intersection you stupid cunt

    • Matt Harmon says:

The only people getting “roasted” are self entitled assholes like you Alex.

    • Alex Kuehne says:

Just have to be “that guy”. John makes top gear, and with products like this being made, he is opening up his market to more than just the tactical community. Keep doing what you do, John, and let guys like this get you free advertising.

  7. Jason says:

They make some of the best gear, I have ever seen. It takes time to get it. It’s worth the wait. They think outside the box!!

  8. Kusstum says:

I love me some SOE. Best costumer service you’ll find. Great hand made in the USA product. Will outlive your grandchildren. #ShopSOE #coyoteislife

  9. Frank says:

They make some badass gear, but more importantly they treat you like family… John Amanda, and the rest off the crew are top notch people…

  10. Jake says:

SOE makes quality gear IF they ever get around to making it. They don’t make any chest rigs anymore. Most of the stuff has “NO ETA” and lots of dudes have orders over a year old still pending with no date in sight. Has become mostly a “lifestyle” brand for the never ending line of lemmings with the T shirts, Key chains, dog collars, coozie cups, and gym bags. That’s about all they make now.

My thoughts are that John and SOE just can’t find the talent in Camden, TN to build his nice chest rigs and more complicated gear, other than gym bags. So therefore, they have resorted to making less complicated items or outsourcing a lot of their stuff and just having the SOE logo put on.

    • John Willis says:

nothing has been outsourced ever. We make over 1000 chest rigs every month. You don’t have the knowledge to speak on SOE. Nice way to show conviction in what you say by not using a full name.

  11. Darrell Thompson says:

John makes great stuff. He’s loyal to his customers. If you can read and process information while being patient you won’t get crap in return. Thats how it works its called respect.. Ill gladly wait months for gear becauae i know its worth it.

  12. Doug says:

SOE makes amazing gear!!! Top quality with lifetime guarantee!!! Made in the USA!!! Need I say more???

  13. Allen says:

Everything made by SOE is top notch. They make some of the most innovative gear around. Their 12 gauge micro rig is the best way to feed a shotgun that I have ever seen or heard of. The attention to detail on their rigs is second to none.

  14. Joe P says:

Gear is looking more like circus props than gear. Too many fancy colors. I’ll pass

It was an honor to meet John and Amanda FINALLY at Blade Show. 🙂
I’ve been buying their gear and bags for a year now, use it every day, and look forward to future orders. Thanks for the great conversation John, about your knives and LH rigs. I told you I’ll order a few more, and I will. :-). God bless you and your company!

  17. Ronald Owens says:

I’ve ordered plenty from his company and met them in person. I’ve made mistakes in orders but had them peacefully resolved because I’m not an asshole. It’s really not hard to do business with them, I’m sure your shotgun card order won’t be missed!

  18. Tom says:

Over a dozen orders with SOE. John and company have never been anything but professional and helpful. They know the customer is not always right. Looking forward to the Alex sales code.

  19. John Willis says:

It was a knife show. Not a war fighter show.
