Warrior East – Beyond Level A9E

The level A9E (E=Equatorial) is Beyond’s Hot Wet uniform. Made from the USSOCOM-validated jungle fabric from Burlington, Beyond has kept the design simple, with a few specialized features.

For example, the Jungle Blouse has a mesh lined, rear vented yoke.

One feature that I haven’t seen in a jungle uniform before is the mesh underwear liner. It’s much like you’ll find in swimwear. There are also mesh gaiters sewn into the legs of the pants.

They gonna offer it in MC Tropic?

SSD does a great job of bringing attention to new products. However, often times when you go to the new product’s website for more information or to shop for the product the item is not yet listed on the website. Is there a normal or expected lag time SSD readers should expect between a new product announcement and when it will show up its website? Not criticizing SSD–it does a great job–but, including in its announcements something like product is not yet on the website, but will be in a couple, or few weeks might be useful and appreciated.

      Contact them.

It’s cause it’s coverage for an industry tradeshow where brands can highlight up and coming projects to see of they can get backers before investing in the production of an item or build hype. This means some things won’t be ready for consumer launch. Its pretty standard across all industries really. Think like videogames being teased at an elecronics convention or a car prototype being unveiled…. it actually just further shows how first hand and involved SSD’s coverage is on the industry. That’s why we’re all here, after all.

Is that yoke vent stiffened in any way? kinda looks like it.
    too bad heat rises.

Never been a fan of mesh liners anywhere but my swim trunks. That just has never really panned out in real world use. I get the internal gaiters to keep the creepy crawlies out in that environment, but damn the mesh! I would like to think there is some super space age linen blend that would perform the same. Perhaps not.

I wonder if the mesh briefs are an attempt to stop the crotch rotting out of the trousers quite so quickly.

  5. Dev says:

Yeah, having had kangaroo ticks pulled out (thankfully intact) from the inside of my thighs before, the mesh liner seems like a sound idea.

Would prefer to blouse the trouser legs instead though.

  6. Any more info on that “USSOCOM-validated jungle fabric from Burlington”?
