According to Facebook’s US Army WTF Moments, “The coveted “Trash Panda” tab is awarded to soldiers that have been ordered to dumpster dive to look for missing sensitive items.”

    Wow, I earned a tab in Bosnia in 96 clearing out the trash so we could figure out if our LT had actually destroyed the com sec or not. Ah the glory that was being junior enlisted. I’m glad to see it is now properly honored.

    There was once a CSM at Fort Hood that had the CSM detail in the dumpsters every day making sure there was no unbagged recycables in the regular garbage. Those tabs should have flowed like wine.

    I was in an Engineer unit if we F’d up they would give us a bent railroad spike that was painted red. ( this dates back to my unit and the rail road).
