Bravoflauge from Suicide Squad

You may have went to the theater to watch the new movie, “Suicide Squad”. Although it’s not prominently featured in the movie, you may have noticed an interesting camouflage pattern worn by the SEALs. Referred to as Bravoflauge, it was reportedly created by combining four different existing patterns.

According to SSD friend Spartan117GW, Vance and Brown may be introducing a cap on the pattern soon.

I can see multicam, French lizard, chocolate chip, and USMC urban T-pattern. Weird stuff.

    • James says:

      Maybe Rhodesian instead of lizard.

    • Jim says:

Yeah, I’m seeing Rhodesian. Not sure about chocolate chip.

      • James says:

Those small splotches on his upper right thigh are what make me think chocolate chip, if they had the cream colored edge on them it would be more apparent.

Kind of looks like flecktarn geometry down below the knee pad on his right too.

Breaking news – US Army adopting Alphaflage shortly. They state they invented it first and, even though it looks exactly like Bravoflage, it is actually an entirely different pattern. Note the slightly different shade of gray. They won’t be paying the Bravoflage inventors any royalties.

    • This Gentleman says:

But admittedly more expensive than if they had just payed the royalties and also inferior in quality and performance.

  4. Matt says:

It’s not a bad pattern, the colorway is kind of weird. Probably good for night urban.

  5. So similar to G3 lowers… hell I’d buy a set of that, especially if they did the grey pads to go-with.

Looks like a hyper-quick lawsuit in the making…

Somewhere in 10,000 patterns, I’m convinced that this was “already” invented.

    • straps says:

Seeing a lot of Kryptek up in there too…

    • Guy Cramer says:

Hyperstealth helped Owen with the different colorations (there are three different colorations in the movie: Urban, Night and Desert). I printed numerous color combinations onto our fabric, based on the movie requirements. The Studio then had to film test each different version to verify the pattern would look correct in the movie. Owen then took to our fabric samples to the large scale printers to match the final prints to.

The pattern was developed by Owen, not Hyperstealth.

A good thread from USMF on how teh pattern came about. Page 2 and 3.

Owen (The “Designer”)- the only person on the outside fringes of the camo world MORE obnoxious than Guy Cramer.

And one wouldn’t have thought such a feat possible…

    Craig ,

And you want to start a war with me posting abusive comments ?

Haters gonna hate. I, for one, anxiously await the launch of http://www.bravoflauge.com so I can purchase a set for myself!

    • Craig says:

Oh, why no Owen, I would never start a war with a “know it all” who is never wrong, or, rather, can never admit when they are wrong.

Let me bow to the master.

My comment stands-you are an annoying little douche who thinks he knows all.

      • Mandingo says:

Friggin’ Irish, always looking to start conflict.

A couple more gigs like this and Owen can give up his spot at the Swap Meet.

Is that link above broken? It wasn’t working for me.

  10. Kammo-man says:

Tell me how I am wrong please ?

    • Craig says:

You have been wrong many times on USMF.

You leave arrogant, one word posts people are supposed to accept as gospel.

No one can tell you your wrong or offer differing opinions or you and Bob berate them into silence. I have seen it over the years, and one of the reasons I have never joined the thing, tho I have a interest in militaria.

Too “Cliquey” for me. But hey, by all means, carry on. The site will die out one day because of you and the reasons I cited.

Saw the movie yesterday. What a disappointment.

The development of special camos was pointless, they could’ve just worn one of the “greys” and NOBODY would’ve known the difference.
