FIME Group Product Announcement
Have you heard?! FIME Group has 3 important announcements for the Rex Zero 1!

1. The Rex has a new model, the Compact.
2. We went through the hoops so our Marylanders can protect themselves. Rex Zero 1S is now on the Maryland Roster. Maryland Part Numbers: REXZERO1S-04, REXZERO1S-05
3. With all the demand from our magazine restricted states, we have a 10 round magazine coming shortly.

Arex is located in Slovenia and has over 20 years of design, manufacturing, and CNC experience. When Arex was designing the Rex Zero 1, they knew this was going to be one of the best pistols around. Rex is actually Latin for King. With all the recent reliability/torture tests, it has proven to be an accurate name.

Rex Zero 1 is manufactured out of T7075-T6 Aluminum with full length rails, full length dust cover, an integrated picatinny rail, and a 1 piece cold hammer forged barrel made from a solid bar stock. The parts are then Nitrocarburized to protect against corrosion and wear. The Rex was designed for hard use with expected 30,000 rounds of service life and has passed extensive NATO/Slovenian military based tests.

The controls match the well-engineered frame. They feature an ambidextrous magazine release and safety lever. The Slide stop/Decocker lever are integrated into one. Pushing up on the lever is the slide stop, press down will release the slide, press down again and it will decock the hammer. Field strip can be accomplished without pulling the trigger. You can run this in Double Action/Single Action or Single Action Only. If it is your preferred carry, it can be “cocked and locked”. Double Action trigger pull will be 13 pounds, while the single action trigger pull is going to be 5 pounds. The trigger will reset with only .16” of travel.

Magazines come in 3 different sizes, 15 rounds and 17 rounds, and the new 10 round magazine (coming soon) for the states that have restrictions. We believe everyone should have their ability to protect themselves, even the ones that are unfortunately in the restricted states. The 10, 15, 17 round magazines will work for Compact. Only the 10 and 17 round magazine will work with the Standard. The best part is the MSRP on the magazines are $25. This allows you to stock up on magazines, a great price for spares or if you need them for an upcoming class. Make sure you pick up a few more.

      #notasig

They’re not even trying to hide the copy here.

    2. LGonSoldierSystems says:

      13 / 5 is a bit stout for a DA/SA, no?

9 / 3.5 – 4 is more realistic, but was this also for Maryland considerations?

I’m nowhere near high speed low drag, but man…
Glocks average ¿5.5?, unless we’re talking the 12lb NYPD requirement.
      Beretta 92 – 11 / 6.5

Eh, with it being in the same vein as P226, I’m sure someone has accomodations, no?

    3. Gerard says:

The Rex zero pistol is the best thing Slovania exports…well its actually the Only thing they export.

    4. Dellis says:

So why would one choose this over say, the Legion?

      • Gerard says:

Price is the main reason. You could buy 3 Rex’s for the price of one Legion. You do realize that the ‘legion’ is just a marketing gymic

        • Archangel says:

albeit a rather genius marketing gimmick, IMO

          • Gerard says:

I agree completly. Anytime you get a customer to pay 30% more for a minor upgrade is genius. But it still doesnt make the Legion series unique. I like the Sig classic line, they handle and shoot well. Totally reliable. But Way overpriced

      • Gerard says:

        3-1 price differnece

        • dan187 says:

So why not get something affordable with more aftermarket support, like a Glock?

If it is about getting the same platform only cheaper, would you say a Rock Island Armory 1911 is a good choice because its 5x cheaper than a Wilson Combat?

      • Cuvie says:

It has a better fit than the Legion at at fraction of the cost.

        • Dellis says:

I have a few Sigs, one being a Legion. I got mine under 1k and while yes they are pricey I just had to have one. Never had any issues with Sigs, shoots great, functions flawlessly and just darn sexy gun.

Now I have never owned or fired a Rex, in fact never even heard of them before this here article and they may be a fantastic gun but why did they make it look so much like a Sig? My first thought was that this is a company making a cheap Sig counterfeit, like those making sunglasses that look like Nike and Oakley.

So in that I admit my ignorance

      • Ab5olut3zero says:

Reliability, excellence in craftsmanship, accuracy, and price spring to mind immediately. I own a Zero1 full size and she’s awesome. Video below is a direct comparison of the $1200 Sig Legion vs the $600 Arex Zero1 from MAC at the Military Arms Channel. Results may surprise you.

        • dan187 says:

What about support. Are there replacement sights available? Replacement springs? Are magazines easy to find, affordable? What about holsters?

I put little faith in a single YouTube video, compared to years of proven service from companies like Glock, Sig Sauer, HK, Smith and Wesson.

    5. Burdy says:

If you look at the Military Arms Channel torture test of the Rex 1 vs the Sig Legion, there are a lot of reasons to choose the Rex 1.

Rex Look Like base on the Zastava EZ9/CZ999

    7. DangerMouse says:

Everybody and their mom makes a 1911 or CZ75 clone and nobody bats an eyelash. Somebody makes a clone 226 and people go ape shit.

1980 patents are long since expired.
