SIG SAUER - Never Settle

Helikon-Tex – Matilda Backpack

At IWA this pack from Helikon-Tex caught my eye, reminding me of an ALICE Medium, with its three external pockets. Called the Matilda, it’s part of their growing Bushcraft line and was designed in conjunction with Survival Tech. Like ALICE, each of those external pockets has a back channel so you can carry odd-sized items. Unlike ALICE, the Matilda’s pockets are all closed with Side Release buckles. In addition to compression straps, the pack also offers PALS compatibility. The back is stiffened and incorprates breathable mesh.

If the carrying capacity is in-between the Medium ALICE and the Large ALICE then that’ll be a winner for sure! Such a classic.

Couple of questions: Does anyone know capacity and weight of this pack and also any experience ordering this company’s gear in US? I looked at website catalog but was loading extremely slowly so I wasn’t able to get much info but I gather it is a foreign company. Thanks in advance for any info.

Looks pretty good, do you know what the fabric is? looks lighter then 500d cordura or 420d packcloth.

any pictures of the suspension side?

Helikon is probably my favorite overseas made company. They have some solid offerings. Kudos!

I am still trying to determine how to purchase their gear from the states. I signed up for the email, etc. Nothing.
