SureFire Releases All-New Aviator

IMG_0496

Fountain Valley, CA—SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of the world’s finest—and most innovative—illumination tools and tactical products, is proud to announce the launch of the all new Aviator™. This SureFire classic—originally developed for pilots—has been reinvented to feature a dual-output white primary LED and secondary colored LED in one sealed head, both focused by a TIR lens into a user-friendly beam with ample reach and surround light. The Aviator can be easily switched from white light to colored light, even on the fly, with a simple pull and twist of its self-locking bezel selector switch—no filters required, which can break or accidentally open at inopportune times. The rugged, ultra-compact Aviator is available with secondary LEDs in one of four useful colors: red, blue, amber, and yellow-green. All of these colors help preserve night-adapted vision and prevent eye fatigue as well as, depending on the color, cut through fog, help locate blood trails or hydraulic fluid leaks, improve contrast, or even integrate well with night vision devices. Dear surefire, i have no clue what plan you have in mind. But pls bring back the tactical switch on the EB1/2, or better yet make a momentary-only switch w/o constant-on at all. Dont wanna have to hack it and void the warranty.

So much this. I loved the tactical switch. I haven’t upgraded mine yet because I prefer the tactical switch.

I’m curious about how hi/low output is selected. It’s a bit large, but could make for an easy to mount helmet light

    SureFire,
I have a couple of requests. I have an older model Aviator that I would like to upgrade to the new LED head so please sell that in the future. Also, make an Aviator model with all the different LEDs included; I know this will make the light bigger but I have a use for all those LED colors and not just one. Thanks for all the cool products.
