Kudos on the innovation, let me say that. But design wise, my gosh that’s an ugly handgun. And unless you are using subsonic 9mm ammo it is NOT “hearing safe.” Just wanted to say that.

        MUZZLE AVERAGE with Long configuration
Hearing safe with all 9mm ammunition, including JHP.
        115gr: 137.1 dB

137.1 dB and higher is NOT hearing safe.

Can you shoot it and not get ear “ouch” … sure, should you expect to shoot at that sound level of impulse noise and not suffer permanent hearing loss? NO.

It is foolish to be telling people that a suppressed 9mm handgun is “hearing safe” … simply put, again, it is not.

          From The Website:

“Hearing safe with 9mm subsonic ammunition — 147gr or above.”

(further, and also from the website)

          147 gr: 139.9 dB

Would like to know what weighting they used when measuring the output. Also, 140dB is considered unsafe, irrespective of time interval. 139.9dB (stated) is far too close for my comfort.

Ahhh… #$#%%*$#)P# buttons not working correctly with my browser…

Yes, all configurations. And the 136.3 dB level is a much better place to be.

I predict a thriving business for those pistols from the sci-fi tv & movie industry

      • DangerMouse says:

Definitely. And a lot of the buying public do buy things based on what they see in the movies. Sadly.

Either way, I’d like to have one!

I’ll wait for the MLOK version.
