MDM 17 – United States Tactical’s Reversible Chest Rig

It does exactly what the name implies. This chest rig reverses from PALS compatibility to four elastic slots for AR or AK magazines. Sandwiched in between is a slot which will accept maps, documents or even a holster.

I am sure someone will disagree with me, this is the internet after all, but I think they really missed the mark on creating an awesome piece of kit by not limiting the height to roughly three rows of MOLLE or the height of the integral mag pouches. Being able to access the pouches while having the MOLLE exposed could be incredibly useful in such a small package.

Fish – I wanted to disagree with you just for the sake of being a smartass but that’s a good call. Maybe they’ll look at a Micro version next?

Cutting down the height down as you suggest limits the use of the slot. While I like it as is, the obvious solution is to make two versions…

How about something 3 mags wide like the SORD MFF rig. Enough Molle for 3x mag pouches then 3x elastic mags on the back.
