Made to fit Gen3 frames in both Glock® 17/22 and Glock® 19/23 sizes, Brownells Glock® slides are easy to rack and “press check” and also allow the user the option of adding an electronic sight.

Perfect for both stock Glocks and custom builds, the Brownells slides fit the Polymer80 80% Glock® frames, also available at Brownells.

The slides feature special serrations and cuts, and come with the choice of a slot for a Trijicon RMR or similar sight. Some slides have a window cut in the top to aid cooling, enhance appearance and lighten the gun.

Machined out of stainless steel, the slides have a tough Nitride coating that resists heat, wear and abrasion. The slides are stripped, and will require additional parts to complete.

Is it me or does that milling look super deep? In a good way.

  2. Joe says:

Must we always poke holes in the slide?

    • SSD says:

They come from the factory without the holes.

Glock makes many pistols with lightening cuts. I’m not a mathmagician, but I bet it’s because lots of the recoil springs from different guns are interchangeable/the same. I bet they make the slides weigh the same so they work with the same power spring.

Now all that jive flair that’s added to guns…I’m with you.

      • Joe says:

The 34 has the top hole so that Glock can use the same recoil spring as the 17; same weight and all that.

Do we know who does the machining and finishing on these slides? Is it in-house?

I put together a polymer80 frame with one of these slides for a friend last weekend. A little boxy looking, but it actually matched the lines of the TBRC comp very well. Everything went together just fine (as expected).

Just one caveat; while the slide width is the same as OEM, the top of the slide corners are not as rounded as the OEM, so they stick out a bit more. That prevented the pistol from fitting any of my G19 kydex holsters (including the ones which index off the light). The polymer80 frame trigger guard is also wider than the OEM frame and will not fit holsters that retain using the trigger guard.

However, I had an old Serpa G20/21 holster that fit the polymer80/brownells slide combo perfectly. So, if you plan on putting together one of these combos, try test fitting it in a holster meant for the larger framed Glocks, and it might fit.
