    H. Iverson teaching a different technique at a course he runs. During the course, we (all current SOF) tested its effectiveness with SIMunitions much like this and found it to be very effective when coupled with the TTPs taught during the course.
This is not to say that I would recommend people attempting to snatch a gun out of a assailants hands, as this video demonstrates most of the time it will result in failure if not practiced in a manner that is effective. The ability to disarm someone, however, is absolutely an option in a life and death situation.

I’d never want to have to do this…but I would love to learn HOW to do this.

Interesting results for the worst case scenario. One take away is the overall importance of a LIGHT single action and ALWAYS keeping your finger on the trigger at contact distances. /s

Realistic tho’ because bad guys often have bad trigger discipline.

For the defender this shows how important it is to initiate the body defense prior to or simultaneously when bridging with the hands. Notice how he was more successful with a gun in his back? Also the wisdom of stacking your odds by choosing the right moment.

Slo-mo analysis would be an awesome tool in the classroom environment.
