Benchmade introduced their new Puukko sheath knife at OR Summer Market.
This classic Scandinavian Design features a 3.75″ drop point CPM-3V steel blade combined with a rubberized Santoprene handle. Additionally, the leather sheath incorporates a flint loop and dangler.

I know it is not in line with the traditional design, but they should really have added some king of guard or something for this knife to prevent one’s hand from slipping onto the blade during use in wet conditions. The handle does look nice and grippy though!
Benchmade already makes 162 Bushcrafter that has that kind of handle you’ve described. Although, it’s not a rubber handle. If you want a rubber handle – Swedish Fallkniven F1 is exactly for you. However, if you aren’t going to stab somebody with a this Benchmade right after gutting a fish, you’ll be just fine.
