6 sets of armor, and at least one helmet, that looks like something that would be “fun” to carry.

This would probably make a decent dive bag as well, although it may be a tad long and has no internal organization.

      • PPGMD says:

Most mesh bags I’ve seen have no internal organizations. But it is also a bit expensive for a basic mesh bag, the ones I see mostly go for $20-30, but those are mostly made overseas. Also I think you could probably fit two sets of gear, where as a normal dive mesh bag is a tight fit for a single set.

        • Adun says:

I have definitely seen more external organization than internal, but it exists. Most dive bags, at least ones for SCUBA and not just snorkling and free diving, will be wider than this bag, but I think you could still make things fit.

The most important thing to me is that the handles wrap around under the bag so that the strap is the thing supporting the weight, I wouldn’t buy anything that doesn’t have that kind of support to it for hauling gear.

I haven’t seen too many with pockets, probably the neatest mesh bag I’ve seen was one with a waterproof material on one side so you can carry it on your shoulder without getting wet. Some instructor in Mexico had it, I think it was made by Mares or Aqualung, I’m probably going to buy one when I wear out my current cheapy mesh bag.

I need this for tournament support activities. Taking nephews to a BJJ or martial arts tournament and there are bags for heavy weight gis, plain clothes grappling and jiujitsu gis everywhere. Then add in a bit of food and water, and there are piles of stuff all over.

This bag is a total win in my little world. I’ll happily point out that it has been a long time since I’ve needed dive tanks and fins. HOWEVER, when I take the nephews to the river and do water training with them, wet clothes and equipment in here might make more sense.

As an added plus, at 4′ long, I can throw it across bleachers and save seats for guys who are out competing! This bag is a total win in my little world. I’ll happily point out that it has been a long time since I’ve needed dive tanks and fins for anything approaching official.
