Tardigrade Tactical – Low Profile Laminate Belt

The name sums it up for the Low Profile Laminate Belt from Tardigrade Tactical. The laser cut laminate is printed in MultiCam and the belt is designed to be worn under load bearing/MOLLE belts. Thanks to the simple front buckle design, it’s easy to adjust and and will not get in the way of bigger belt buckles on outer belts.

Designed and manufactured in Denmark!

This is a painful reminder that Denmark switched from a perfect pattern for their always green country to a if the US uses it well it must be an amazing pattern. Now that countries will be slow to put troops into the Middle East in quantity, how many will regret such a light(especially when washed even a minimal number of times) pattern? I get the concept of saving money with one pattern and it’s corresponding kit, but how many will regret Multicam.

Does anyone expect Denmark to be fighting a war in Denmark anytime soon? Beautiful country by the way.

The M84 camoflage was not a very good system. It had to much black in it. And overall it was too dark. Worked well inside a forest, but not very well in all the other flora you also see in Denmark.
Overall Multicam is a better system for Denmark. If you should have keept the Danish identity you would have bought Multicam gear and have the M84 pattern made in colours that are in the multicam. Like the German Multitarn.

Reminds me of Emdom’s Adam Belt –

This would be ever greater with a G-hook instead of the nylon d-ring for fast silent on off.

    • Mogens Beck says:

The Ghook have been made by CRYEP and other copybrands. I have made a few belts with Ghooks an all customers have thought it looked cool in the beginning but in the long run they all changes to something without the ghook solution.

Neat but this strikes me as a solution looking for a problem. I don’t think a USGI belt is that obtrusive to a outerbelt. Heck some companies already make them with that design. But if you build it people will buy it. Just my $0.02.

    • Huch says:

While the low profile buckle is nice, for me the real appeal is the thinness of the belt material. If I wear a padded outer belt (war belt), it will press the underbelt hard into my hips (especially if the underbelt is a little stiff) and I’ll start to get hot spots after half a day. With a very wide, thin & flexible underbelt I don’t think that would happen.

This have been a big problem in Denmark with the issued cobra belt. People have a cobrabuckle belt in their pants and also in their Mollebelt from Tyrtactical. So people wanted something lowprofile to wear underneath their mollebelt that was thin.
