The NEW SureFire Stiletto Is Here!

SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of the world’s finest—and most innovative—illumination tools and tactical products, is proud to announce the launch of the PLR Stiletto! The Stiletto’s slim design allows it to be carried comfortably all day, similar to a knife. Despite weighing less than three ounces and being extremely compact, the PLR packs a punch with a high output of 650 lumens. The Stiletto utilizes a rechargeable lithium polymer battery, with LED fuel gauge, that can be charged via Micro-USB charger.

The primary switch on the body is programmable and can select outputs between 5 and 650 lumens. The tactical switch on the rear of the light activates the 650 lumen high output only, and has an optional high-frequency strobe. The heavy duty pocket clip will always keep the Stiletto quickly accessible and secured. The Stiletto gives you the edge when the threat of darkness looms upon you.

I played with this and the new SureFire Guardian during the AUSA Annual Meeting, and I was very impressed with how they felt in my hand. The molding seams were smooth, and the controls were easy to operate. However, the plastic body is a little slick. It’s only lightly pebbled, and the ridges on the side are small, so I’d be concerned about hanging on to it when wet.

I haven’t seen one in person yet so this may be a silly question, but if it’s a plastic body could it be stippled to increase texture/grip?

      • Kyle Kata says:

Yes, but Surefire should have made it so it doesn’t need to be. They need to balance getting it out of your pocket with grip in hand. My Surefire lights a knurled and I’ve dropped those, don’t know if this will be better or not, looking forward to testing against my E2D.

I have had one for a couple of months and I love it. I haven’t dropped it.

Have you tried clipping it to the brim of a ballcap and using it yet? I know it may sound silly, but that pocket clip may have more function.

Looks like it will fit well in any sort of molded/polymer pistol mag pouch with its more squared shape.

that was my exact thought when I saw this.

there is nothing in the pic’s to scale this, just how compact is it? will it clip in a jeans pocket like a folding knife, or is it too large for that?
