The Sonic RA Nocturne is a mid-height winter running shoe from Salomon. It’s getting a new All-Black paint job, but the printing you see at the heel is reflective for running safety.
It features Salomon’s Vibe Technology midsole construction with EnergyCell+ and Opal to “attenuate fatigue-causing vibrations for a cushioned yet responsive ride.”
I’m sad it doesn’t have the Quicklace, especially to avoid messing with normal laces in cold weather.
I do love the integrated gaiter thing though. Definitely a must for winter (or just wet weather) running.
I’m digging it, just wish the non-Forces shoes fit me well. The wider toe box gave me the best fit I’ve ever had in any shoe or boot, but their normal sneaker fit is just too narrow.
Stopped wearing Salomon for same reasons and more. . Moved to Altra Lone Pine- life changed
