SIG SAUER - Never Settle

Echo Arms Helmet Light

Granted, it’s mounted a bit far back in this image, but this is the Fast Attach Mount w/ Low Profile Integrated Light Body from Echo Arms.

The design utilizes an integrated Magpul M-LOK interface to mount directly to their Fast Attach Mount which attaches to the helmet via Velcro.

It uses the sane thread interface as Surefire E-Series and Scout lights meaning you’ve got lots of head and tailcap options.

With the Helmet Light sharing the same tailswitch, battery and head as the Surefire M300 Scout, pairing the Helmet Light with a Surefire M300 weaponlight provides a backup solution in the event a weaponlight fails and needs replacement parts.

This new helmet light is currently available for pre-order.

I believe the light is meant to be mounted that far back. The new technique being utilized is to direct the light upwards so that it reflects off the ceiling of rooms and offers indirect lighting..

    • Correct. Many teams use the light pointed up to provide “umbrella lighting” indoors to illuminate a whole room and avoid blinding team mates. Additionally, it can be used in the same position to illuminate canopies while sky diving at night.

Not clear on the color legend. Are those available options for their heads?

I didn’t think that was clear either

Finally, someone has come out with a scout light body that can mount directly to a rail system without the use of a separate mount.

But designed it as a helmet light…….lol

    • It’s designed so it could be used that way, but it would need to be installed on a handguard off the rifle since you need to get to the bolts in the rear.

Arisaka needs a Scout mount (so you can choose your length and offset) but the body has integral machining to mount into it rather than using rings, smoother than a Scout.

People who put lights on their heads for war need to go out and come in again…
take a light out fifty yards at night, make sure to turn it off, point it at your original position, go back and then hit it with your weapon light. “Dead Giveaway Scary”, right?

Checked their website, no additional knowledge gained. I wonder how the mode selector works for all those color combos. Also it’s weird that there is absolutely no mention of how many lumens this flashlight packs. Cool idea, I hope to learn more about it!

    • Hi, those are the colors available using different heads, not all at once.

Hahahahaha, This is what I call designing a problem for a solution instead of a solution for a problem. If you attach a helmet light or weapon light with Velcro you need to be slapped. Also umbrella lighting is strictly for administrative post action procedures it has no tactical application.
