About time the 6094 got a facelift…not like there was anything wrong with the gen I and II, but it’s good to see LBT taking advantage of lighter/newer fabric tech.

    That looks sexy.

  3. hodge175 says:

Probably the vest the conventional combat arms ground troops should get issued but never will. A solid all around vest.

First time I’ve seen a 3/4″ placard attachment. Jon at OPT will school me again but I thought the VelSys setup was the defacto industry standard.

    • Chris says:

Yeah, 1″ is market standard but their LBX front flaps use 3/4″. Probably that’s why two versions.

      • Jack Griffin says:

Asking this for myself and anyone else that may be curious:

For those of us with a ton of gear that uses 1″ buckles and a bin full of 1″ repair buckles to fix said gear, why go with the 3/4″ buckle? Just smaller and lighter? Only time I’ve actually used 3/4″ buckles is on the sternum straps of civvie backpacks.

    • LBT says:

Hardware is interchangeable… open to run 3/4” or 1” placard connections

    • Jon, OPT says:

1 inch is a de facto standard, since no actual standard exists. That said, LBT has addressed this. I’m looking forward to this release, the 6094 design sold really well for us when we used to sell LBT, and this post got me on the phone with them today. Love when iconic nylon industry companies known for quality kit get on board with the placard system.

      • Jon, OPT says:

EDIT: LBT has been on board with it for a while. They aren’t new to this design concept. I saw examples of this as far back as 2017 IIRC.

      • Redbeard says:

I don’t think many people would say LBT is known for quality anymore. Not for some time anyway. I do like the looks of this carrier, though.
