Warrior West 19 – Streamlight To Introduce New Switching Option TLR-7 & 8 Lights

Issued on every ATF Glock 19, the Streamlight TLR-7 currently incorporates a button which is actuated with the weak hand.

However, a new variant is coming this summer with a switch which can be depressed to turn it on and off with the trigger finger.

Although this new model does not yet have a distinctive nomenclature, both will be offered.

Streamlight products are available for agency and unit order through ADS.

New switch is what I wanted on the first go of the TLR-7. Thanks, Streamlight.

  2. Chase Warren says:

I just contacted Streamlight to ask if retrofit switches will be available for the current versions. I just bought two TLR-8G units, of course. Maybe removing those two screws on top at the rear will allow it.

Per the Streamlight rep at ADS West, the new switch cannot be retrofitted to an older light.

The switch is a major improvement for the Streamlight pistol lights.

  3. Alpha2 says:

The other switches were awful. Glad to see Streamlight listen to feedback and change them up.

Now if only we can get them to up the lumen count on the TLR-6. I don’t know how big the market is for that light, but I know I’d buy two right off the bat to replace the anemic ones I have.

Crap! Now I have to buy a new TLR-7!
I really like the original light, but the switch is tough for anyone with normal length fingers. I’m glad to see they have fixed it, but now I have try and off-load my gen 1 model.
