SHOT Show 20 – The Survival Striker from Winkler Knives

I was sorry to hear that ABS Master Bladesmith Daniel Winkler faced a series of dire medical conditions last summer and fall. Fortunately, he has recovered and introduced The Survival Striker, available now off pre-order.

It’s a hollow handled knife, similar to the collaboration he did with LAW Tactical a few years back.

One of the cool things he did was show the stages of development from drawing to model, to prototype, to final product.

Winkler uses 80Crv2 steel in his designs.

Really… A survival knife with a hollow handle? Gee wiz did someone finally watch a Rambo movie? For real, this concept has been around for a long time. Glad some custom knife maker could finally find a way to attach an enormously inflated price tag to this boutique, retro rip-off idea.

Can’t wait to see your line of hand made knives!

My new line of hand made knives are called invisiblade. Only the most wealthy of tactical operators can utilize them because they are made of the most quality materials (i.e. super expensive). Mall Ninjas cant even see invisiblades because only the vision of an experienced Tier 1 operator can fully view the blade in normal atmospheric conditions. Below are photos of our new product:

Black/OD green and FDE colors available.

I’m not sure what you mean by inflated prices. The Winkler 2 knives usually sell for under 400. An original Jimmy Lile (the guy who made the knives for first blood and Rambo 2) hollow handle is going to run you about 2 grand.
