Bone Tactical – Cholombia Combat Shirts

Monday, June 18th, 2018

It’s called the Cholombia shirt because they are produced in Choloma Honduras, one of the most dangerous places on earth.

The Colombia Shirt is the creation of Bone Tactical. They’ve got quite a story behind the shirt, so I won’t steal their thunder, but rather encourage you to hit the link and read it for yourself.

The Hawaiian accents on the MultiCam have me intrigued. Sized from Small – XXLarge like military uniforms, there’s even a short sleeved version.

SOFIC 18 – Crye Precision Debuts Hot Weather and Temperate Shell Garments

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018

At SOFIC, Crye Precision debuted their new Hot Weather Combat and Field Uniforms as well as Temperate Shell Jacket and Combat Pants.

img_0072.jpg

I look at the HW Combat as a Desert Uniform, HW Field as a Jungle Uniform and the Temperate as a replacement for the G3 All Weather Uniform. You’ll notice some design similarities with the new G4 garments such as the internal pockets. Despite looks, that new pocket design has just as much carrying capacity as the old style.

G4 Hot Weather Field Shirt and Pant

img_0073.jpg

Made from the same Burlington fabric selected by USSOCOM for hot weather uniforms, Crye utilized two different weights (3.5 and 4.5 oz) of the material to mitigate wear in high abrasion areas (knee, seat and elbows). It is very breathable at about 30 CFM.

Pockets feature button closures and the pockets are lined with mesh for drainage. Additionally, the pants integrate an internal mesh gaiter for bugs.

The Combat Shirt and Pant use similar base fabrics as the Field Uniform with the addition of VTX ripstop stretch and 3.5 oz with Polyester wicking material in the padded waist for the Pant and Polartec polyester mesh with X-static for the Shirt.

The goal was to lighten the weight, so they stripped away the back pockets and calf pocket. They also use the same buttoned shoulder pocket as in the HW Field Shirt.

G4 Temperate Shell Jacket and Combat Pant

Designed for for cool, windy, wet conditions, this is a super lightweight replacement for the all weather garments. It’s made from a 4 oz nylon with integrated stretch.

The Shell Jacket is a hybrid shirt/jacket replacing both Field and Combat shirts. It features Thumb holes at the sleeve cuff and Large internal front pockets.

Color Choices

The Field Uniform will be offered in MultiCam and Tropic while the Combat Uniform will be offered in MultiCam and Arid. However, as they share fabrics, special orders of the garments in Arid and Tropic will be easier. The Temperate uniform will be available in all standard Crye colors.

Availability
On a final note, last ok for these new items by the end of the year, while G4 is currently beginning production.

MultiCam Announces Charity Partnership with Warriors Heart

Monday, March 26th, 2018

Brooklyn, NY – March 26, 2018 – MultiCam®, the combat-proven, complete family of concealment solutions for those who demand the best, have announced a strategic partnership through GoFundMe, with Warriors Heart, a public-private funded treatment facility with a mission to provide treatment for those who put their lives on the line for our safety.

Soldiers, law enforcement officers and first responders face many challenges in their careers. They often put their lives on the line to protect others and must so with little to no regard for their own safety. However, for many in those professions coming to grips with the stresses of their service sadly often leads to addiction. The Warriors Heart facility in Bandera, TX helps this unique community find the support they need.

Founded by three respected military service members, with decades of combined experience, Warriors Heart provides a peer-to-peer-based solution to help the over 13.3 million American Military, Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders faced with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), alcohol addiction, prescription/ drug addiction, and mild TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).

Realizing that warriors are found along many walks of life; from firefighters to EMT, Military, and Law Enforcement, the goal of Warriors Heart is to provide the support system that Warriors need to return to a balanced, healthy lifestyle free from addictions and harmful patterns of behavior. Those in career paths that require a great deal of self-sacrifice are often more susceptible to depression and related issues, which can lead to dependence or addiction on substances like alcohol and prescription drugs. Warriors Heart helps reintroduce purpose into the lives of those who’ve served and continue to serve their country and their community.

“We at MultiCam® recognize where we would be, if it weren’t for the sacrifices our Military and Law Enforcement personnel, and we want to help Warriors Heart achieve their mission,” stated MultiCam®, Brand Manager, Ernesto Rodriguez. “Warriors Heart is an incredible organization that tirelessly works to support those returning to a life they no longer know. We are honored to partner with such a selfless organization, which truly understands what it means to sacrifice.”

MultiCam® has proudly supported the men and women in uniform, as well as their families, for their sacrifices in ensuring the protection of our freedoms.
