Blade Show 2014 – Bawidamann Blades / RMJ Tactical Collaboration – The Ragnorak

Friday, June 6th, 2014

What do you get when you combine the reliability of an RMJ Tactical tomahawk, Andrew Bawidamann’s amazing pinup style and VZ Grips excellent micarta work?

A practical work of art called the Ragnorak.

The new Ragnorak Tomahawk is available in 12″ and 14″ models. Crafted by RMJ Tactical from 4140 Steel it incorporates micarta scales by VZ Grips. In fact, these make a perfect match with VZ’s pistol grips in the Ragnorak pattern.

The handle incorporates lanyard holes as well as a shovel head at the butt/bubble for use as a prybar. Additionally, there are finger grooves at front and rear of the handle for front and reverse grips. Finally, it comes with a Kydex sheath that incorporates the PUP-style quick detach straps seen on Bawidamann’s new magazine carriers.

Bawidamann Blades – Skeletonized Karambit

Thursday, April 10th, 2014

DSC_1103

Designed in conjunction with Steve Hacht and Bryce Grey, the Bawadimin Knives Skeletonized Karambit features a paracord friendly handle although it does not come wrapped, and must be customized by the user. Heavy chamfers on the Karambit allow for increased comfortability. Machined from CRU-WEAR steel, the Karambit features a hardness of 61-63 on the Rockwell scale.

The Skeletonized Karambit comes with a custom conceal carry sheath. It’s a great new design to go with an outstanding knife. The integrated ST801 PUP nylon backstraps features a “pull the dot” snap, and allows the sheath to mount securely to a belt, right up against the body.

Available in Forest Green, Black, Bronze, and Tungsten.

Bawidamann Blades Skulds Available Now

Friday, February 24th, 2012

We just got word that Bawidamann Blades has 40 of their new Skulds in stock NOW! They had 25 a few weeks ago and poof, they were gone so if you want one, get on it. The Skuld features a full tang construction with a 3-7/8 inch blade and an overall length of 8-1/2 inches. Two steel choices are available, S35-VN or XHP and there are three color options available for the G10 handle. It also comes with a Kydex sheath.

I purchased one in a pre-release order around SHOT Show and it is an outstanding blade. It fits the hand very well and the G10 handle not only looks good but it’s comfortable as well. The notches on the thumbrest are great for indexing and in the photo above you can see unique filework on the spine.

Here’s what they have on hand:
10 CPM S35-VN with BLACK G-10 handles $290 + shipping
10 CTS-XHP with BLACK G-10 handles $310 + shipping
5 CPM S35-VN with GREEN G-10 handles $290 + shipping

Bawidamann Blades Updates Site

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

20111214-220913.jpg

This is some great news for fans of Bawidamann Blades. They’ve completely revamped their website. In addition to their fantastic line of knives (yes I own a GUNNR SP, purchased at Blade Show earlier this year) they also offer the PALS Universal Platform as well as new t-shirts and morale patches. The PUP is great for attaching gear such as holsters and knife sheaths to MOLLE gear.

They are great folks who build great products. Support them as much as they support the troops.

BLADE Show – Bawidamann Po’gn

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

Tactical Fanboy purchased a Po’gn knife from Bawidamann Blades at last weekend’s Blade Show. This is his impression.

Bawidamann was in full force at BLADE show, displaying both awesome pin-up art and awesome blades. Although I was practically drooling over the Randgridr they had on display (it’s a modern-day trench knife; what’s not to love?), I went with the cord wrapped Po’gn you see above. Made from “154 cm ground or chisel ground” steel, this knife features an overall length of 7.25″ with a blade length of 3 3/8″, and uses paracord as a handle material. It’s light-weight, concealable, and comes with its own Kydex sheath. Simply put, its one bad-ass blade.

Limited Edition Task Force Dagger Foundation Knife from SureFire

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

SureFire has teamed up with the Task Force Dagger Foundation (TFDF) to offer a special-edition Echo knife—engraved with the TFDF logo—for the reduced price of $150. Twenty-five dollars from every sale will go to the Task Force Dagger Foundation to assist USASOC soldiers and their families who are experiencing financial difficulties.

I’ve had an Echo knife for almost two years and really like it. It’s a sturdy design and the Tan sheath can be adapted for use with virtually any load carrying system by using Bawidamann’s PALS Universal Platform. Some don’t like the small serrated edge segment on the blade but I don’t mind it one bit. It’s a great duty fixed blade and is being offered at a fantastic price. If that alone wasn’t enough to convince you to pick one up then the donation to the Task Force Dagger Foundation ought to clench the deal. Get yours at www.SureFire.com.

PALS Universal Platform

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Bawidamann Blades has developed an innovative solution for attaching equipment to PALS compatible platforms. As you can see from the graphic it is versatile in that it allows you to assemble your sheaths and pouches to the PUP at virtually any angle.

Thanks to Thad for the heads up!
