The MVF-600 is a mil-spec (810-G) modular vertical foregrip. While a standard package consists of a visible or IR laser and 200 lumen light, they also offer modules that provide IR illumination as well as remote tape switching for other weapon accessories such as a PEQ.

As you can see, the modularity is effected by a simple throw lever system.

CTC Defense Announces International Sale of 25k Shoulder Fired Lasers

Monday, August 5th, 2013

We mentioned the Shoulder Fired Laser series during Modern Day Marine a few years ago. Designed to attach to an M72 LAW this is a low cost add on Aiming Laser that increases hit probability.

CTC Defense™, a division of Oregon-based Crimson Trace Corporation, has announced that it has completed shipping of more than 25,000 SFL-100s (Shoulder Fired Lasers) systems in fulfillment of an international military contract. The SFL-100 is a low-light aiming laser that couples with a unique, quick-detach/secure platform system that works with the battlefield tested M72 LAW (Light Anti-Tank Weapon).

“CTC Defense realizes this large purchase of SFL-100 units is a vote of confidence in our products and the performance these products provide for soldiers on the battlefield,” said Dale Suzuki, CTC Defense Division Director. “The SFL unit dramatically improves rapid sight transition, especially in low light conditions, and the improved on-target accuracy equates to a much higher hit ratio. We look forward to working with other allies in fulfilling their laser system needs.”

There are several platform options for the SFLS, including: the CTC Defense RELMS (Rocket Expedient Laser Mounting System) with quick attach, or a factory-installed base plate. Application of the RELMS base plate and SFL-100 can quickly convert standard M72 LAW units already in inventory into upgraded laser equipped armament. The partnered SFL-100 laser can be effectively aimed at ranges from 50 to 200 meters and provides 25m increment adjustments. This helps soldiers in the battlefield gain a substantial advantage in eliminating opposing mechanized forces.

The easy-to-install laser aiming unit (slides into and precisely locks onto a base plate with no required tools or adjustments) also expands the use of the M72 LAW into an effective nighttime weapon. The current standard M72 LAW aiming system relies on daylight to complete the aiming process.

The SFL-100 produces a visible red 635nm laser and is powered by an AA battery. The laser run time is 14 hours (it moves into auto-off mode after 35 seconds of inactivity) and the unit is waterproof to 1 meter. The laser unit is housed in a sturdy advanced polymer shell and weighs less than 4 ounces. It is designed to work with all M72 LAW system variants.

MDM – CTC Defense

Tuesday, September 25th, 2012

CTC Defense offers a dual laser sighting system for the GLOCK full size and compact models.

20120925-124528.jpg

Mounted on either side of the barrel, IR and Red visible lasers are controlled via buttons embedded in the grip, or alternatively via a SureFire X300 switch.

20120925-124610.jpg

In addition to the alerts, the grip is also textured and doesn’t dramatically increase the profile of the weapon’s grip. In fact, normal grip pressure in the correct spot, will activate the laser.

It is powered by two 2032 camera batteries. One is enough to power the lasers with the second on board for backup. Expect it to last 5000 illuminations meaning frequent use will give you about 9 months of use. You’ll notice the laser begin to fade when a new battery is required so you won’t experience a total failure.

MDM – CTC Defense

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

CTC Defense has developed the SFL-100 Low Light Aiming Laser for use with the Nammo Talley M72 series of LAW rockets. Available in Red and IR laser (with Green coming soon). This aiming device has been shown to increase night time hits by 20%.

New LAWs are coming with the mount you see here. Take a look at the cams at the aft end of the mount. These are machined to coincide with the type of round and the range settings on the SFL-100. This is because different variants of the M72 have different ballistic properties. These mounts can also be retrofitted on to existing rounds.

The SFL-100 is removable and can used over and over. Powered by a single AA battery, it can be had for under $250.
