How Do You Mount Your G-Code Soft Shell Scorpions?

Thursday, December 22nd, 2016

With changing mounts as simple as removing and replacing a couple of screws, G-Code offers a lot of versatility. I’m surprised at how many they offer. Additionally, they are adaptable to many other brands of holsters and pouches.

G-Code Introduces the P-Series Interface System for G-Code Scorpion and Scorpion Softshell Magazine Pouches

Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

Jacksonville, North Carolina – November 29, 2017 G-Code introduces the P-Series* interface system for the G-Code Scorpion™ Softshell and Scorpion Hardshell line of magazine pouches.

Specifically designed to molle into PALS webbing on body armor and “battle belts”, the P-1 Series is optimized for pistol Scorpion platforms whereas the R-1 Series is optimized for rifle pouches. The P-Series and R-Series interfaces allow for four carry height positions, and using a P-1 clip allows for a G-Code Scorpion Softshell pistol mag to be stacked on Scorpion Softshell rifle mag pouch.

The P-2 Series, like the R-2 Interfaces, were designed specifically for use with the G-Code Operator Belt (1.75”), keeping G-Code Scorpion Softshell and Scorpion pouches in place when an end user accesses a magazine, giving a smooth draw from the pouch. Finally, the new P-3 series is designed for use with double and triple layer shooting belts.

Both P-series and R-Series interfaces provide a solution for tool free installation and adjustment of G-Code Scorpion Pouches. The clips feature a locking collar that engages with a positive “click” and prevents unintended release/loss in the field.

Sold individually, including hardware, P-Series, R-Series and Scorpion Pouches are available right now on G-Code’s website.

G-Code Scorpion Softshell

Thursday, August 18th, 2016

Today, G-Code announced the release of its brand new Scorpion Softshells, cable retention tool pouches built for rifle and pistol magazines, although they also accommodate other items such as lights and multi-tools. The full release can be read below:

Rifle. Pistol. Multi-tool. Flashlight. It all fits.

Versatile, capable and light-weight, the G-Code Scorpion Softshell is a tool pouch built specifically for rifle and pistol magazine retention and manipulation. A design that makes the task of reloads under stress or in a lull as instinctive as the gesture of pointing.

Cable Management. Magazine Retention.

A molded exoskeleton manages and protects the binding cord, minimizing wear and mitigating the potential for snags in turbulent environments.

The front “torsion plate” directs pressure from the binding cord down, forcing positive contact of the inner friction surface to the length of the magazine, with room to regulate the tension up or down.

Finally, the cross bars of the plate allow for Scorpion Softshell pistol pouches to be stacked on a rifle pouch, giving the end user total control of their fighting configuration.

Built for Speed

Weighing in at just 3.3 ounces*, the Scorpion Soft Shell is among the lightest available today. The super-tough Nylon frame components and the Santoprene molded Soft-Shell are rugged, durable and are moisture proof.

A flared opening guides a consistent, clean draw from and insertion to the pouch, while the inner surface retains the magazine firmly whether the end user is in motion or at rest.

* plus platform specific mounting hardware

One Size Fits All

The G-Code Scorpion Softshell rifle pouches accept all AR type magazines, .308 variants as well as those built for Kalashnikov type rifles. Pistol pouches will, likewise, retain both double stack and single stack magazines.

Available as either a standard or speed cut, the G-Code Scorpion Soft-Shell pistol mag carriers provides the end user every option to best interface with the rest of their equipment.

In the Family

Launching with the Scorpion Soft-Shell series are G-Code’s new, patent pending, “R-series” and “P-series” interfaces. The R-2 and P-2 clips deliver a phenomenally stable and dependable mounting system that is designed specifically to interface with G-Code’s “Operator belt”. Likewise, R-1 and P-1 clips with PALS platforms (body armor, belt) and R-3 and P-3 clips with most other belt systems.

The modular back panel, integral to every G-Code pouch, also allows the Scorpion Softshell line to dock with the entire family of G-Code accessories.

Made in the USA

Available in black, coyote tan, green and gray as well as a series of custom color pairing designed to match camouflage offerings in use by the US Military, Law Enforcement and our allies.

Each G-Code Scorpion Soft-Shell pouch is backed not only by G-Code’s Life-Time Warranty, but the Company’s reputation for quality.

G-Code Bang Box

Thursday, April 14th, 2016

The Bang Box is a small multipurpose transportable storage device that was designed to allow the user to carry as much loose ammo as needed without taking an entire box/crate with them or having to generate a bunch of trash at the range. It’s also a handy way to carry your brass home.

G-Code has this to say:

For most range sessions 2-300 rounds is just about right. Prior to going out strip the rounds from their cardboard and paper packaging and loose pack them in the Bang Box. This eliminates any trash out on the range. The wide mouth of the Bang Box makes it easy to get your big meat hooks in on your ammo supply for an easy day reloading your mags. To keep track of your lots there is a pocket sewn on the inside of the lid and the Velcro strip on the top outside of the lid is perfect for placement of one of our PVC caliber patches.

Additionally, there are no sharp corners on the bag’s Kydex base and they include an adjustable shoulder strap. As you can see there are several color combinations to choose from.

Keep in mind that the Bang Box can also be used for cleaning gear, spare parts or anything else that you can think of.
