Save an Extra 20% at Grey Ghost

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011

Free shipping on orders $100 or more. PLUS, get an extra 20% off your order when you use code extra20 at checkout. Use it to purchase Wild Things Tactical jackets or the outrageously popular Lightweight Assault Pack. At $79 it is a freaking steal! Not only is it lightweight, but it’s also very well made. We’ve discussed this pack a couple of times. The LAP is available in LiteLok or 500D MultiCam fabric and features a unique rounded shape that makes good use of space when you are stuffing gear into it. It is also less likely to snag when going through tight spaces. Additionally, you can use the shoulder straps or stow them out of the way and connect the bag directly to your vest.

Grey Ghost Updates Their Look

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

Along with new look, they’ve updated their name, and URL. Grey Ghost Outlet is now also known as Grey Ghost Gear. Although they are still the best place to go to when are you looking for killer deals on tactical gear, they have expanded their offering of the lightweight assault packs from a limited arrangement to something that looks to be more permanent. Additionally, they’ve added some cool t-shirts and patches. Make sure you check out the new look.

Lightweight Packs from Grey Ghost

Friday, March 25th, 2011

Grey Ghost is our favorite liquidator of things tactical and we just found out that they just did of a run of branded lightweight assault packs and lightweight 3-day packs. Like the name says, they were designed to be lightweight. For example, the 3-day pack weighs 30% lighter than standard models. They were also designed to mitigate the IR signature. The photos below are not to scale and the pack on the left is the assault model while the one on the right is the 3-day variant.

Both are available in MultiCam as well as A-TACS and this has us scratching our heads. All we can find out is that they are over runs from a developmental contract for SOF. No matter, the “why”, at these prices these are going to go fast so if you want one you’d better jump on it like a fat kid on a donut.

Grey Ghost Outlet a Big Success

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

We heard from Grey Ghost Outlet that a lot of our readers took advantage of the web site after reading about it here on SSD. Since they specialize in liquidating overstocks, it’s one of those sites that you have to visit regularly. Additionally, we have let a couple of companies know about the site who are getting ready to launch new styles for 2011 and have excess inventory of colors such as UCP or stuff that is no longer in production for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, UCP isn’t going away for everyone in the Army who is training or deploying outside of Afghanistan and several vendors are holding excess inventory since MultiCam fever has set in. Grey Ghost Outlet is a great place to pick up such items for CONUS training. It has been our experience that if you go there and see something you want, you’d better grab it since prices are outrageously low and supplies are limited.

Introducing Grey Ghost Gear Outlet

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

We’ve heard rumblings in industry for years that one group or another was going to set up an online outlet for over runs and excess inventory of tactical gear. Finally, someone has made it happen and named it Grey Ghost Outlet. Currently, the store has a bunch of Tactical Tailor kit on deep discount. For example, you can get a 1 piece MAV with pouches set up for either M4 or AK for $88!

And before anyone jumps to any crazy conclusions, we can assure you, that despite the fact that they both use “grey” in their names, name Grey Ghost and Grey Group have nothing to do with one another.
